This is a very tiny lunch box...if you have a child with a robust appetite, I would go up a size. With that being said, the product is very well made. I like the divided compartments and snug latches. The interior compartment is dishwasher safe but the "shell" is hand-wash only.

I have had two of these break where the latch clips onto the bottom base. The thing plastic strips you clip to snap off. We never wash in the dishwasher but they still become very brittle after about a year of use. It’s a real shame because for the most part we like them (with the glaring exception being that the largest compartment only holds half a sandwich unless you squish it in tightly) Good news is the first time it broke bentgo was lovely about sending out a replacement. But I think I will be trying a new brand after this. I don’t want to send so much plastic to a landfill.
