Q: There was an aluminum metal piece loose in the box. I do not see it listed under Hardware or anywhere else in the Instruction Manual. It is bent in half and one half has an oval cutout with a rounded edge. What is this piece for. Where did it come from?

Q: Hi I can’t figure out how to get this thing to tilt and stay in place. It’ll swing but won’t keep its angle like it shows in the 4th picture. Without the ability to keep it there it’s not very useful. Is there a way to make that happen?

Out of the box and assembled less than an hour. Light breeze less than 10 mph tore apart base pole. Complete garbage. Don't waste your money even if on sale.

I thought the price was good was worried about the quality, was very happy with it from the start then the crank started to become difficult to crank eventually broke. Not even two years old and was only put outside on the stand on weekends and nice days. Money is tight and mind you I have two so I roll the dice and buy another in hopes it’s won’t happen again.

This is a nice umbrella in the regular position. However, once you tilt it, it slides back to the regular position after a few minutes. The locking mechanism isn't strong enough to keep it where we want it. We contacted customer service and got a replacement, but it did the exact same thing. We're just going to find the tilted position we like, drill through the pole, and put a bolt to keep it from sliding.

I guess you get what you pay for...the umbrella tilt has never worked properly. The only position the umbrella will stay in is with the support arm fully extended and the umbrella itself hanging straight down, where it sways in the wind. It does provide good shade but, at this height, my 6-1" husband can not walk under it without bending over and it's a close call for me. The LED is a nice option and that still works fine a year later. The 4-Piece Cantilever Offset Patio Umbrella Base Stand w/ Carry Handles was easy to set up and self-explanatory and has only given way once in a strong wind gust with the umbrella open (it sailed through storms fine with the umbrella closed). We got the Sky Blue color, and the umbrella has faded where the fabric was not folded in when the umbrella is down and secured. Otherwise, the fabric has held up OK. But the fading is a disappointment given that our last umbrella (from another company) lasted well over a decade.

The LED are nice though I don't really stay out that late this time of year, will be nice in fall. Forgive the lack of cushions in photo.
