Q: how high is the top step

A: There is no way the top step is 41, as that is the height of the entire ladder.

A: Hello Ron, yes it's easy to close. Firmly grasping both side of ladder while pushing close is all that's required.

A: You can, however, caution is advised as you loose the support of railings to hold onto. Total floor to top of ladder frame is 41", spacing between rungs is 9.5in and 8" deep.

Q: How deep is the footrest. Too many ladders are so shallow that the next step up hits my shins. Need around 9 inches.

Well made and sturdy. I am 65 and have been wanting to purchase a home indoor step ladder for sometime. This fits the bill. I would say it is medium weight but I am still able to lift and use it with no problems. I would recommend this ladder to everyone.

I am pleased with its sturdiness. The ladder came already built and ready to go. It also has a safety lock for the steps so it says in place during use. My only complaint is that the safety sticker was put directly on the top step. It is incredibly sticky and hard to remove especially because the step has ridges. It is a pain to scrape off and I’m still not finished after spending an hour on it. I’ll probably have to purchase Goo Gone to finish it all up…
