Best Foods Plant Based Mayo - 30 fl oz

Two of my adult kids are vegan so this is my 'go to' for a particular recipe they request often. It tastes just as good as their BF Real Mayonnaise. It is hard finding plant-based mayonnaise at most stores so I was excited to find this on sale at Target. Not only was I able to get it at a great price, but I didn't even need to leave the house! I purchased it online with the promise of a 2 day delivery window. Can't beat that! Or can you?! My delivery actually showed up the very next day!!

I did not buy this to go or stay vegan. I wanted to get away from Soybean oil and prefer Canola oil as a healthy alternative. Holy cow, was I surprised when I tasted it. I like it More than regular Hellman’s/Best! It’s excellent and I recommend it.

Such a relief to find this delicious egg free mayo so I can make potato salad again (fam member has an egg allergy). I also love this brand.

Y'all old "vegan mayo" taste better than this one. I really liked the older vegan mayo version, it was tangy and was SO good with a tomato sandwich. I was traveling for the summer and I kid's were gone away visiting the whole summer. So recently we returned home from our summer travels and I wanted a tomato sandwich and my kid's (who still eat meat) wanted sandwiches too, so I went to the store to buy some Vegan Mayo...to my surprise I couldn't find it, it now said Plant Based mayo. I purchased it thinking it was the same, although something told me, I betcha they called themselves fixing something that wasn't broke. And sure enough, it taste noticeably different. I was SO disappointed. My tomato sandwich wasn't the same and my kid's mad one sandwich and haven't made another one in over a week...and they love sandwiches. It's a very noticeable taste difference. Not as tangy and doesn't taste as good and just different. You can get it down, but you don't want to really.

Tastes great and no extra cost. I cannot have legumes, which means I cannot have soybean oil. Most mayonnaise selections have soybean. This does not. First it was Canola Mayonnaise. Now it's plant-based mayonnaise. I don't use this because it's the "in" thing to do. I use this because it's the ONLY one I have found that does not have soybean. Without this I would be forced to make my own which would take more time than my busy schedule has. Please stop fiddling with the name. It's a great product. Stop changing it. And please negotiate with more stores to carry it. It's getting too hard to find in my area. I don't want to go to a store for one item when I should be able to get it at my regular grocery store.

Person named Careful Shopper said not vegan certified. There is a vegan certification symbol on the jar. You can see it in the picture below the main picture. This vegan mayo is excellent. Although Vegenaise is pretty good, Best Foods vegan mayo is far better.

The best vegan mayo there is! It's still slightly short of the very first vegan mayo Best Foods/Hellmann's produced--that was made with soybean oil--but still great and miles better than the second iteration. This actually tastes like real mayo! Highly recommended!

Notice the change of label says Plant based and no symbol for Vegan. Something changed so no longer certified Vegan.

Just because you’re vegan, does not mean you have to give up mayo. You can use this product without compromising taste. It tastes and texture is identical to regular mayo. I use this in my egg salad, on sandwiches, and recipes. It’s gluten free and egg free.

I've tried many plant based mayonnaises, and Best Foods is in a class by itself. If you want something that actually tastes like real mayo, then get this one.

I bought this hoping that it might be a redone version of the Best Foods Sandwich Spred I used to get (and my parents before me). I miss it terribly, and don't understand why the marketing types had it go away. You've still got the best mayo around, but you shouldn't have gotten rid of the old Sandwich Spred.
