Rainbow Chip Frosting is my absolute favorite, so I was so excited when I saw these. However, these are repulsive. It doesn't taste like cake and doesn't have the texture of cake and the frosting doesn't look like it does in the picture. The chips were tiny and smushed and the frosting is labeled "topping" instead of frosting, and I don't know why, but that grosses me out. The best way I can describe this, is if you blended up a handful of tums and mixed them into the cake mix before cooking it. Imagine that chalky flavor with a gross texture. Not sure what happened because I remember eating these Betty Crocker Mug cakes years ago and I don't remember them being this bad.

Genuinely gross product, tastes like something went terribly wrong with a vanilla cake. The icing is also.... weird? Hard to explain, but it SHOULD be normal because they already sell perfectly normal shelf stable frosting in jars? I bought this one because the brownie one is food chemistry perfection, but this was very bad.

If the urge for confetti cake ever wells up within you (for myself, it is usually as a response to strong raw emotion or PMS) but you don’t want to bake an entire cake- this is just amazing. It’s a microwavable cake so of course it has that “flavor”- but it’s very satisfying in a pinch. Make it with milk, not water. This is so nit-picky, though; I took off a star due the fact that the sprinkles aren’t really the full rainbow and just three colors. It shouldn’t matter, but again, if it’s emotional eating- a detail like that just…matters.

I thought it was someone I did on the first so I immediately made a second and that one did it too. So, I went ahead and tried the last 2, and again, all foamed over and never rose.
