Q: Does this work on induction stove top?
A: You can use any adapter plate, but Bialetti also makes all stainless / induction friendly moka pots, as well as a Moka Induction models (which look more like their traditional aluminum moka pots).
submitted byCalisson - 3 months agoA: Sorry, it does not. Although Bialetti has and "induction plate" that will make it work. You can contact us at alice.bolognini@bialettigroup.com, if you'd like to order one.

submitted byBradshaw Home - 5 years agoBrand expertA: I've used this exact model on a gas stove for a few months now. As someone who used to work in a chemistry lab, I sometimes cringe at the energy inefficiency. As the ring of gas (or electric coils, or anything else) will be way to big for the bottom of a moka pot, this or even the larger sizes. But it does work perfectly well by setting the pot near the EDGE of the ring. Just make sure that the handle isn't over the flame so you can pick it up without burning your fingers. In an ideal situation, I suppose I'd get one of those wire grids woven with heat resistant material (used to be asbestos) to spread the heat of the flame evenly. But even so, it's unlikely that something made of aluminum would need this, as the metal is already a more effective heat sink than steel.

Q: Is this made in Italy?
A: No - the one I received says Made in Romania
submitted byKev Ivris - 6 years agoA: The upper chamber of this model does NOT have the Bialetti octagonal shape as stated in the description. The model is called "Moka Cafe" and is made in Romania under license from Bialetti. The Italian made model is "Moka Express" and has "Made in Italy" engraved on the lower chamber.

Q: There are no instructions. The one with Assembly has the step 2 process as step 2 and 3. Where does the espresso go? Do you pour boiling water into the top container? It's very confusing.
A: Tami, we are very sorry you did not receive directions in the box; this is something that should be there. Your Moka comes in 3 pieces the top chamber, the funnel, and the bottom water chamber. The Moka acts similar to a percolator where you will pour the water in the bottom chamber; you will add your coffee grounds to the “basket” in the funnel. Place the funnel into the opening of the bottom chamber and screw the top chamber on. Put this on your stovetop and a few minute later the coffee will boil into the top chamber. In addition, one this to note the Moka is not made for a fine grind espresso. The best bet would be a drip coffee grind, but do not worry it will be much stronger than a machine.
