A: Hi, these pieces are made of weighted plastic. Each piece has a magnet on the bottom making in easy to stick to the board.

It came early! My 9 year old has taken to chess and has joined a chess club with a few of her fourth grade friends. I bought this for her to take to school and play with them. It’s the perfect size and is actually bigger than I I thought it would be! It’s about 9” x 9”. Maybe a bit bigger. I love that it folds and holds the pieces so they’re not all over! The pieces are a good size too and the magnetic factor makes it so fun.
