Description

Okay, it’s time to settle this once and for all – who’s top dog (or chicken)? Get ready to find out. Split into teams, or go one-on-one, then grab your Sling’Em® and get ready to bid and flip your way to sweet-tastin’ victory.

Turn over a Challenge Card, then secretly bid high if you think you can nail it or bid low to avoid it. If both bids match, then it’s Flipperama time!

Every time you complete a challenge, you’ll get to turn over one of your Character Cards. The first player or team to turn over all six, wins the game!

Q: What are the chicken and hotdog made of? I worry someone could get hurt or something could be broken if it's thrown too hard

submitted by Myles - 2 years ago
  • A: It's soft plastic, and they are hollow in the inside, similar to a dog's squeaky toy. I can't imagine anyone would get hurt. It could break something fragile, like a glass or something.

submitted byRidingsm - 2 years ago
  • A: As mentioned previously, a soft plastic. My kids got very enthusiastic throwing them around and I eventually moved the game outside! :)

This game doesn’t work at all. The objects will not land correctly. Ages 7 to 52 tried and failed. Cute idea but it just doesn’t work.

Have you seen this game! I purchased this game as a gift exchange gift and it’s super funny. Have you seen Chicken vs. Hotdog? It’s the most ridiculously fun game that works on two levels. The kids love it for the silly flipping challenge, and the adults… well, let’s just say it brings out their dirty minds. Trying to get your hotdog or chicken to stick is way harder than it looks, and the innuendos practically write themselves. Perfect for family game night… or a not-so-family-friendly game night!

Fun game for all ages. Was disappointed because the chicken broke within the first day we played with it. I was expecting it to be more durable since we were just playing the game and not misusing it.

Just a dumb game. Nothing to it. Really dull. Good quality dolls though. 8 would be an okay price for this.

Love the idea but terrible to play. They knock over way to easily. Don't land almost ever.

Fun concept. My kids would have really liked this game if the suction cups worked better. The suction cups on the chicken/hot dog need to be made of a softer rubber. They are too stiff and just bounce or tip when they land. It is nearly impossible to get them to land upright and stick bc of this. You can do it but it takes many more tries than you are given when playing the game. I will be returning this game.

Okay, so hear me out. This game looks silly and kiddish and it totally is. I played with my 30-something friends and had a blast quite recently. Its a combination of toys and flippy cup (paying homage to the collage days). The objective of the game is to flip your prop (Chicken or Hotdog) and have it stick to a flat surface (via the suction cup on the bottom of the prop). The Moderator will pull game cards that command you to square up and flip till the death!! It's an engaging, silly game that really gets competitive especially if you have a team of 3 or more. Easy to play, it's all in the flick of the wrist.

This is the perfect game for a group of adults wanting to play an easy, silly game. The box says family-friendly but I would disagree. The group of young adults testing the game said it would be awkward to play with children around. Also, they thought both objects that are being thrown and flipped should be of similar size and weight.

My mom bought this game and we played it with my 3 kids my 11 year old and twin 8 year olds. We all were very bored when we played by the rules because of the bidding, and how you only get 1-3 attempts, so I decided we play one player from each team to try the challenge and who ever finished the challenge first wins that round, then two different players from both teams try the next challenge, so on and so forth. It was a lot of fun then!

Chicken vs Hotdog is a colorful and fun idea but a difficult game for us to play. I'm a little confused about the bidding part and it was difficult to even do a basic flip sometimes. My nephews and son just enjoyed trying the flips but the adults were uninterested. The chicken and hotdog are made well and so any crazy throwing could break something.

I received a copy of the game to review out of 4 possible games to try. I was, in fact, the one I wanted the least, so it would seem that fate wanted to give me the relish. Once we had it, I was extremely disappointed to receive it. Upon first inspection, my wife and son and I all had a huge bit of entertainment (the only joy we got from the game) when we realized the two titular game pieces resembled ... adult toys. Seriously, they do. Big time. Even my 10-year-old was in on the joke. Needless to say, nobody wanted to play it. I took it to a family function a few days later, and the entire room made fun of it. had to beg to get anyone to even try it. Everyone thought it was dumb. No one ever played it. Positives? The quality of the components is good, and the packaging was sturdy. Sadly, this game was one I couldn't choke down.

The kids did not want to play this game until they saw the adults playing. We were having so much silly fun & obscene amount of laughing & bantering that we didn’t want the kids to play. But when they saw what we were actually doing they begged to play. Ugh they took over! What a fun time bonding with the kids & their parents. We plan on having 2 copies though so we can break it up kids/adults when we all need our own boding time! Great gift idea for sure!

we invited friends of my 2 boys over to play. not kidding it was hours of fun! they played by the game rules at first and had a blast. but then they added their own rules, like standing on a chair to throw, or seeing who could land it being farthest away. definitely a fun game for kids and teens alike. #bigpotatogames #comeround

I received this game from Come Around UK in exchange for an honest review. This game is fun, but not necessarily my preference in games. Great for a larger group or a younger crowd, especially if they grew up in the age of bottle flipping (such an innocent trend). As with most Big Potato Games, the quality of the components are top notch!
