I bought the asparagus spears because I always buy Birdseye and never have had a problem with any. This is the first and last time I would purchase them They were so woody and tough.

Love to season this with olive oil, lemon pepper seasoning, and a little salt. Pairs nicely with my chicken wrapped in bacon. Love to get this during the off season when I need my asparagus fix.

Asparagus has been my favorite veggie since I was 5 years old. And although Birds Eye has been around for a long time this is the worst asparagus I have ever eaten. The spears were tough and stringy, and on some spears, the woody end has not been removed. The flavor was odd, not what I am used to. I have eaten asparagus in many ways…raw, roasted, bbq, steamed, etc,etc. but never has it tasted this bad. Asparagus is an expensive veggie and I never hesitate to pay the price, but I won’t make this same mistake twice. I still have the bag if you want details from it, but I won’t hold on to it forever. Thank you and I’m sorry I couldn’t make this a 5* review!

Follwed the directions on the package and cooked for the directed time in the microwave and the asparagus was complete mush, My family took one look at it and refused to eat it. The entire bag ended up in the garbage. Complete waste of money.

The package leaked everywhere out of the bottom corner. I had to clean the floor and microwave. I shouldn't have to use a bowl with this package according to the direction in cooking in the microwave. The asparagus was good.

Two times I have purchased these and they are bad. Not fresh, smell rotten. Yet still frozen. Once cooked they are not edible. Don’t recommend at all!

I love fresh asparagus. For many years I pick some up at the grocery store produce section on every trip and had it many times per week. Sometimes it's freash and a good batch, sometimes it's stale, rubbery or not in stock. No longer. The Birds Eye frozen asparagus is now the only asparagus I eat. It is always at peak, quality is consistent, taste is equal to fresh and I always have lots on hand in the freezer. I prepare it sauteed on stovetop as follows. Stainless steel pan drizzled with olive oil. Place frozen asparagus spears in pan. Add salt and pepper. Medium heat. Then don't touch for 8-10 minutes until bottom of asparagus gets a nice char. Using tongs turn over each spear, add some more salt & pepper and cook additional 2-3 minutes. Enjoy.

Birdseye products have been on the market for years now. You can rest assured that when you purchase any of their products they will taste delicious, just make sure you follow the instructions or they will come out mushy. I love asparagus and always choose Birdseye!
