Date Code almost invisible -- apparently done with some kind of impression and no ink. Very frustrating registration experience. Now, if only the product works.

Worked fine, the heat might have been a little inconsistent but it just scratched way too easily making it basically unusable after a month of use :( it’s cheap I’ve learned my lesson to just spend more on better quality.

Purchased 1 to replace Presto griddle used for many years and 1 for my son. I will never purchase anothed Black & Decker griddle. Saw through the nonstick after a few uses with an appropriate spatula. Heating was very inconsistent and would burn/not cook the same thing on the same temperature each time. In under 20 uses, the thermostat stopped working and it got VERY hot whenever plugged in. So much so that when I first plugged in the cold griddle and had it turned off, the light was on and I was still able to cook bacon.

I had black and decker for years. I recently brought this but this is worst. All black burnt marks and are not going away how much I wash. I started using just 10 days back. It's completely useless. . My suggestion is not to buy.

This product short circuited when I was not home! It almost burned my whole house down I came home to the house filled with smoke. It was turned off completely but left plugged in. Stupid I know but it was black and smoking. Hotter than it should have been on the highest setting! I cannot believe I almost lost my dogs in a house fire over a $25 kitchen tool

I have had this griddle for many years. A few reviewers are upset that it’s not cast iron like they expected. I honestly don’t know if it is or not. The ceramic coating is great. It has faded a bit but doesn’t affect use. It doesn’t chip like enameled cast iron. It’s not heavy like my other cast iron cookware. It heats very evenly even after years. I would hate this griddle if I had to baby it like other cast iron. It is incredibly easy to handle, wash, and care for. It has been tricky to find a place to store it in my kitchen because it is so large, but the size makes quick work of feeding a crowd so it’s worth it.

It works wonderfully and the non-stick makes for easy clean up. Unfortunately the cable is only 2 feet long. I had to set it up backwards making it hard to get at the greese trap. I have never had a kitchen appliance with such a short cable.

This is not cast iron as described it is ceramic. When I went to talk to target about it they said it’s a black and decker issue not their issue even though it’s listed on their site.

When it works it’s great but it’s true w other reviews that say it doesn’t heat evenly. One side wouldn’t even cook the foods properly and one side is super hot. I guess that’s what you get for $25 item
