I bought this for myself as I live alone. It's small and only makes 3 cups cooked rice but that's fine for me. That amount is 1 meal with leftovers.

It’s a perfect appliance for a single person and very easy to use. I have one and love it and just got this one for my 12 yr old nephew who likes to cook and loves Pokey bowls. He loves it!!

I Love this Black and Decker Rice cooker. It is so easy to use and clean. The rice does not get stuck together or stuck on the bottom. The rice comes out perfect every time. If you don’t have this yet, go out and treat yourself to one. You will be happy. I highly recommend this Rice Cooker.

I love that cooking rice only takes 20-30 minutes, and then it has an automatic warm function that automatically kicks on to keep the rice warm and fluffy. It's so easy and fast to cleanup it is dishwasher-safe, but with the nonstick pot and tempered glass lid it only takes a few minutes to clean.

I have cooked rice in a saucepan on the stove for over 40 years. Finally got tired of watching that it didn't boil over before I could turn the heat down; then remember to check it after 20 minutes to make sure it was cooked and ready to eat. Took awhile but I finally wised up and decided to buy a rice cooker. Glad I found B&D 3-cup cooker. Worked perfectly the first time (noticed the burn smell the first time as warned on reviews). Followed directions for amount of raw rice and water. All I had to do was listen for the 'click' when cooking was over. Rice came out perfectly. Can't believe I waited so long to buy a rice cooker. Size is just right for small family. Takes up very little space on counter.
So small yet it gets the job done. I love it!

I just bought this 3-cup Black and Decker rice cooker. I highly recommend it. It cooks rice in very fluffy texture--beating both gas and electricity stove-cooked rice. It is hassle-free, unlike stove cooking of rice. Thirdly, I have not been able to find a 3-cup rice cooker except Black and Decker. Three-cup size is very practical for one and two-person use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this rice cooker a few years ago now and it’s holding up great! I use it one or twice a week and it’s still making rice like a professional. It’s easy to use, compact in size, and makes good quality rice. My only complaint is that it isn’t very nonstick so cleaning it can be a challenge. Rice often sticks or burns onto the bottom and I have to use a lot of elbow grease to get it off. Otherwise I would recommend this rice cooker to anyone!

Inconsistent rice

I had an older B&D rice cooker that worked consistently and really well for many years but the teflon eventually started coming off so we replaced it 6 months ago with a new B&D 3 cup rice cooker. We do not like the unit at all. Probably 30% of the time the rice is too hard or the machine turns itself off before the it has even finished cooking. I do not recommend this unit at all to anyone.
