Black & Decker BDCRO20C 20V MAX Cordless Random Orbital Sander

I love this sander it works very well, and does an amazing job!

I saw in previous reviews that the dust bag can be difficult to remove. The people who wrote those reviews must be body builders. For a middle aged woman, it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I read the manual, I watched viideos, I held it in one hand and pulled with all my might, I held it in the other hand and pulled with all my might. I held it between my legs and pulled with all my might. It might as well be welded in place. I used the darn thing once and I'll never be able to use it again unless I cut the bag open and jerryrig something.

I get maybe 20mins of run time with this sander. I thought it was faulty and reached out to support, who is awesome, and they sent a replacement. Got the new sander and was so excited to be able to finish my current project as well and quickly sand down two 2"x6"x5' foot boards for a quick shelf hang. To my dismay the sander didn't even last long enough to get thru the two boards. Now I get it can't run for 9 hours straight but I expect at least 45min of run time. I now have four batteries. Two were fully charged last week and set to the side. I don't keep my batteries on the charger as it's a fire hazzard. I popped a battery off and new one on and got maybe 2 minutes then it's dead. Ok, maybe the unit is warm, give it a break and come back after hour and half, still having the same problem. I get 20min of work time then struggle to get maybe another 10min before I'm done. I leave and come back after few hours for another few minutes of work time. Go with corded and save yourself the frustration.

Dust collection bag is my only issue very hard to remove and empty but for short uses gets the job done very well

GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT FOR SMALL JOBS GOOD BATTERY POWER

I've owned a woodworking shop. I've owned many sanders. This is meant for quick, non cordless jobs and it helps to have several batteries. It's great for woodworking on the fly. It's not meant to do long sanding jobs where you have a plug nearby and it's good for getting in places when you are in awkward places and don't want a cord hanging across your face. I find it a bit awkward to hold as the battery takes up space where the cord usually is, but as I said, I see this more of a specialty tool than a standard one.

I bought this sander because it was not expensive and it would provide for the need I had for a sander. Had a problem with 1st battery, which had to be replaced. Short battery life - needs recharge often, which takes over an hour. Buy one or two extra batteries if you buy this product.

Light weight easy to handle. Battery snaps in tight and ready to go. Taking the catcher bag off is a bit difficult but not a major issue.

I use this sander almost daily. The run time is perfect for my applications!
