Black & Decker BSV2020G 20V MAX POWERSERIES Extreme Lithium-Ion Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner

The vacuum itself seemed like it would be a very good vacuum however the charger didn’t work so I couldn’t use it. My husband checked the charger with an electrical meter and said there was no electricity going through it. I ended up taking it back and buying a different one from someplace else.

I have used this vacuum three times and the wheel fell off.

I'm comparing this model to a previous model which I really liked, except for the non-replacable battery. I went through three units. So, this one has a great battery/recharging system. For both units I like the ability to stand upright (a must). Most other don't do this. The suction and filter system seems better than the old unit, but doesn't pick up cat litter very well, I guess because of the long vertical tube. The LED lights are great and really show you were to clean. The extender brush attachment needs improvement. The brush head rotates/flips over in use, so it becomes ineffective. I use a rubber band on it to keep it in position.

This vacuum is pretty useless on pet hair. Leaves it right where it is laying.... except when it leaves it in rows.

So far it's a great product. I'm still learning how to used it. It has three speeds that work well on different floors. Just have to learn which speed works best on different surfaces.The LED lights work very well. Fortunately I have extra 20v batteries from other Black & Decker tools because it seems like you may need more than one battery to finish sweeping a whole house. Super easy to change batteries like on all other B & D tools. Easy to empty the container. Just need to keep the three filters clean. It light weight and easy to move around and store. This may not replace a plug in sweeper for some people, but it comes pretty close for me. Nice not having a cord to plug in. I'll try to update this after I've had it for some time.

Great sweeper and led lights work great so you don’t miss anything while sweeping.

Do not like it at all, doesn't do well with hair, battery life sucks and it's hard to take the funnel off the empty it. Would not recommend...

Like the 20V power, but that is about all. It is top heavy; it falls over all the time. I have at least 3 dings in my wall from when it has fallen over. They should consider putting the battery lower on the handle. Also the dirt cup often comes off with no warning. It does do a good job of cleaning up cat litter.

The vacuum was great in the beginning. A lot of power for a cordless, light weight and stands upright easily. But now it drains the battery in only a few minutes even though the battery is supposedly fully charged. Of course, I am 1 1/2 months past the two year warranty period. Also note that the dust bin is hard to line up and reinstall after emptying.

Vacuum brush will not spin. There is no hair caught in it, it us completely clean. Light doesn't work either. Vacuum is less than 1 year old.

Its very light easy to handle this vacuum cleaner!

Bought this from The Homedepot just under a year ago. Called and tried to see what I can do about the vacuum not working suddenly with the battery light flashing. What a hassle when I bought it based on the warranty!!!

It's very easy to empty and clean the canister out. I also like that it's pretty lightweight. The suction is very good and will get up messes! The quality is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new cordless vacuum by Black and Decker. The battery life last long enough for me to vacuum my home at least twice on high speed. The suction is pretty good also. They only thing that I didn't like about it is that the canister is extremely easy to come off if hit accidentally. Overall it is a pretty good vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vacuum so much! This thing is easy to use and lightweight. It has good suction power and is easy to clean out. It is so easy to carry into different rooms, it is not super heavy and clunky like traditional vacuums and it's easy enough to use that even my son can use it and he's 8. It has a really nice design, and it's not an eyesore when you have to store it. I would buy this vacuum over, and over again but I don't think I will have to because it feels like it is quality and I will have it for years to come.

For me no cord is A++ on this Vacuum Cleaner, I can just grab it off the charger and start using it without having to unwind the cord and get it stuck while I move around the house. The charging time on this Vacuum Cleaner is not long at all, maybe a couple of hours. The suction does a really good job at getting up small dirt nad cat hair. The one slight downfall, It seems my hair gets wrapped and stuck around the main base though and needs cut out often. Otherwise, this Vacuum Cleaner does an awesome job at keeping my house clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vaccuum. The versatility from beung able to clean carpets to couches is a huge hit for me. I hate having to grab multiple cleaning products as I move from one surface to the next and this eliminated that need. I felt liek this vacuum worked extremely well on my couch and left it looking refreshed. I despise spider webs and was thrilled when I was able to use this vaccuum to reach the hard to reach spaces in the corners of my rooms. I used this vacuum for 45 minutes and noticed no diminished power as time went on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try this vacuum! It's super light weight and easy to carry from room to room. We have a cat and dog and so far I haven't had any issues with it getting clogged. I love that the charger can be attached to the wall and then the vacuum can also be attached to it for storage. I've never seen that, and it's very clever. The only downside is it's a little top heavy with the container for everything vacuumed being on top. I've had it fall a few times if I don't set it down just right. However the top comes off super easy for a hand held vacuum, amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum has become a staple in our vacuum routine. It is my go-to vac for quick spill clean ups and cleaning up after the kids. It is extremely easy to maneuver, and the swivel moves well. The lights on this vacuum really help light up the area as you vacuum. We liked how you could just pick it up and go without cords getting in the way. The suction is decent but does not exactly rival a plug-in style vacuum. With that said, it still has plenty suction and more so than other cordless vacuums I own. We hardly use our other cordless anymore. The things that set this cordless away from the others we have is the dustbin. It is easy to remove, clean, and there is a paper filter with a mechanism you can rotate to knock dust into the hopper to restore suction. I used this vacuum for about two weeks, and it picked up everything along with a lot of dander and other dust. I decided to give it a thorough clean and wash the filter with water. It now looks like new and was easy to clean. The brush head has this awesome slide that allows you to remove the brush to clean it without tools. Since the brush has these anti-tangle/anti hair vanes on it, I didn’t have much to pull off the brush and it pulled off easily. Was not much I didnt like about this vacuum that is not related to the style of the vacuum. The hopper is kind of small but that’s more due to its style. The attachment that comes with it is neat and handy. I love that it is as simple as a flip of the brush to store the brush away when not in use. The only thing I have struggled with is trying to figure out where in my house I want to mount it to the wall. It comes with the battery charger nested in the wall mount. You can mount it that way and it hangs on it, or you can remove it, remove the battery when you want to charge it, and put it on the charger like a tool. The battery life was good on this vac, and I had used it quite often without feeling the need to charge it in between uses. If I already had it mounted on the wall and plugged in, it would always be charged. I recommend doing that if you forget to charge things as it took a while for it to charge fully before first use. Other things to note we have a golden retriever, and he sheds a lot. Had no problem with hair on the brush. Things I liked: Quick and easy to use. Has lights on brush head. Cordless More suction than my other cordless Dust hopper is easy to remove and clean. Picked up everything well including dander. Easy to remove anti-hair brush. Great for vacuuming the van out. Good battery life. Things I didn’t like as much: Hopper is not as big as it could have been. Took a while to charge battery first time.

The battery lasts long enough for me to do the entire floors in my kitchen living room and hallways before it dies. The wall mount is awesome. It is easy to clean but I have knocked off the canister a few times and spilled the debris. I try to be extra careful because of that.
