Q: Does the drill actually "work" by screwing in/out screws?

submitted by TB - 7 years ago
  • A: Nope, not at all. Don't buy this!

submitted byTwinmomboys - 7 years ago
  • A: Unfortunately, no. The drill does not fit into the screw head. The drill is mainly for pretend play, great sounds and action for pretending.

Q: Are all of the pieces plastic? I’m wanting to make sure this would be safe to give to my toddler.

submitted by Lexi - 7 months ago
  • A: Hi there! Yes, all the pieces are plastic.

Q: It states use Carbon Zinc batteries can alkaline batteries be used?

submitted by DC - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi! There should be no issue using Alkaline batteries. We recommend not mixing (i.e. using one carbon zinc along with using one alkaline or using one old battery and one new battery).

My 4 yo asked for this to accompany the toolbox I’d gotten for him previously. He loves it. But for $70 it should come with all the batteries needed to operate the tools. The instructions also mimic ikea instructions. Just pictures, no words.

Disappointing

Disappointed - 2 months ago
Very boring. Theres nothing for the kid to actually do with the bench. The tools don’t really do anything other than make noise. There is a better black and decker version on amazon that has more tools and it comes with parts you can actually use to build something.

Building it was the only good part

1 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Nick - 1 year ago, Verified purchaser
Building it was the only good part. My kids had a ton of fun building it because it uses the toy screws and tools to build it. After it was made they never play with it, but not for lack of trying. Most of the screws get used in the building, so there's not much to play with. They go to play with it and there's nothing to pay with. They screw the screws into the holes.... Then....unscrew them? What else is there to do. The drill doesn't actually do anything it has a bit on it but doesn't spin screws just drills holes. It just sits there and my kids have all but given up on it. Tossing the bench because it takes up space, we will keep the tools as fun toys but this was a big waste in my eyes. Idea is good, execution is poor and what creativity is sparked is quickly extinguished by the lack of anything to really do with the bench.

Box is very misleading, once built there are 8 nails and two screws to play with. The 53 accessories are each individual piece of the set. I have looked online and there are no additional building kits to go with it either.

Honestly the materials are cheap, it needs more spare screws and nails, we couldn’t get the saw to stop running with batteries in so we had to take the batteries out. Maybe it’s user error, I’m not sure. The quality isn’t there. It’s somewhat fun.

Completely useless toy. - Top of the hammer comes off - Tool hooks don’t stay in - Drill can’t be used with anything - Screws that come with are used to put the tool bench together and nothing left to play with After you build it there isn’t much left to play with. Waste of money.
