Q: Is this a telescopic rod? Or are there separate pieces that are screwed together to extend the length?
A: Danielle S.: Our Blackout Rectangle Curtain Rod telescopes for the 36"-66" rod size with 2 rod sections. The 66"-120" rod size consists of 3 rod sections, assembling with a combination of telescoping and wedging methods. We suggest viewing the installation video for both rod sizes of this item on Target.com. Thank you for your interest in our product! Q: Can I mount these sideways? I have too much crown molding at the top of my window so I can't slide the cover over the mounting bracket from the top. I don't know if the nails will go in wrong?
A: Lauren: As discussed in our phone conversation, the brackets cannot be mounted sideways for our Blackout Rectangle Curtain Rod.

Q: I have blackout curtains with grommets for use with this rod. I'd also like to hang some sheers behind the blackouts. Is there enough depth behind this rod to put another rod for non-grommet sheers?
A: Whyt: Since there's limited space to accommodate another rod behind the Blackout Rectangle Curtain Rod, we suggest using a tension rod instead, if your window frame allows. We hope this helps! Please feel free to connect with us on questions or comments at customerexperience@satorihomeltd.com.

Q: In some photos the white plastic part of the mounting hardware appears visible on the wall. Is the plastic not covered by the metal rod? This would be visible when looking up at the rod?
A: Frosty: Thank you for your interest in our product. The white plastic part that you refer to is the mounting plates, which get installed to the wall first. The included decorative posts, which the rod connects to, slide over the plastic mounting plates, covering them so they are not visible. We hope this helps!
