I feed an older outdoor cat in my neighborhood, and he loves this food - maybe even more than Fancy Feast! He also likes the flaked and tender morsels varieties. (The only variety he won’t eat is the beef pate, which is not included in this box.) He used to have terrible dandruff, but since I started feeding him this food, it has cleared up and his coat looks beautiful! His owners unfortunately leave him outside most of the time, even in 100 degrees, and I’m always trying to make sure he stays cool & hydrated. So I dump this food into a bowl, mash it up with a fork, fill the empty can about 1/4 full with water, swish it around to get all the remaining bits, pour the water over the mashed up food, and mix until well incorporated. (He likes this even more if I refrigerate it after mixing in the water. It kinda soaks up the water and becomes more homogenous.) If I use too much water, he doesn’t like how runny it is and won’t eat it - so less water is better. This food (with or without extra water) does fine in the fridge for a few days. I like that this box doesn’t include too many fish cans; I think I’ve read that fish can be problematic with regard to kidney health, especially for male cats. I’ve also read that pate varieties of cat food are generally higher quality, and indeed, these ingredients seem very good. This box of pate varieties has significantly more calories compared to the same brand’s box of flaked varieties, so it’s a better bang for your buck. This box contains 2168 calories, or about 181 calories per can on average. The flaked box is the same weight but only contains 1760 calories, or about 147 calories per can on average - only 81% of the calories in this box. The chicken can has the most calories, followed by turkey, followed by fish.

Idk why but my cat sniffs these cans and walks away immediately and does NOT like eating them. Other foods she woofs down and I was trying these for her and she just about refuses to eat them

My cats love this brand, and it seems to be higher quality than average store brands and smells more like real food (human grade). Just wish this box had the beef flavor which is their favorite, so that’s why I only dud 4 out of 5 stars. If it weren’t so pricey I’d get it all the time, but very grateful for sales and promo discounts.

My lovely lady cat loves this wet food. She can't stomach poor quality wet food which causes her to vomit. She's normally not a begger but for these cans of Tastefuls she does. Offering wet food to your cat is a must and this variety pack is a hit.

Ummm so when did tastefuls get so expensive?!? It’s had a nearly 50% increase over the past few years. This used to be a great buy but now the price is just as ridiculous as every other wet cat food that is a step above slop. Feeding my cat a healthy diet and not going bankrupt is getting much more difficult than it should be. The food itself is decent quality and my cat always liked it. So go ahead if you can afford.

Our cat is elderly and has dental issues. He refused to eat anything that required chewing. I experimented with different brands to try to get him to eat . He loves Tastefuls. He has even put on a little weight and he seems to feel better.
