Q: Just purchased this tool. However, there are no instructions on how to load batteries for the work light. I do not want to break my new tool. How do I open up or remove the top of the tool?

A: The slider took a hammer gently tapping with the other end edge -not the switch button- against something that does not move! The ring around around the switch will come free! Inside the batteries go in odd manner. Two In hole with + pointe up and in middle with one + pointed down. It makes a loop with switch able to make or break circuit. Excellent help with lighted target at my 88 year old eyes.

I purchased this product on June 6, 2024 from the DTLA Target. First, the instructions are not helpful. Next, when using the screw drive, there is no lock--so it's hard to achieve stability when using--or trying to lock in a screw. My hand constantly slipped and I now have blisters. ITS AWFUL. I'm taking it back to target and getting a refund! Grade: F

Not great. Package says it takes AA when it actually takes 3 AAA. Also doesn’t provide clear instructions on which way to insert the batteries. I inserted multiple ways and it still didn’t work. Would not purchase.

I bought the product in-store where it was in a completely sealed package. The one I bought, however, came with no clip at all? This warrants the LED light function useless but oh well that wasn’t a particular selling point for me. As far as precision screwdrivers all conveniently packaged in one place, it does its job so I got what I needed.

Everything sucks on this. Requires 3 AAA batteries, but the packing states two doubles. Design is quite flawed. After the batteries are in, the top doesn't close. DO NOT BUY!

Package says "requires AA battery," when in fact it requires THREE AAA BATERIES. Then once installed, the battery cover/clip will not stay closed. This manufacturer should be dropped from Target stores...improper packaging, faulty manufacturing, and customer service that seemingly only placates the customer. Hoping this review goes viral, as it will be posted on all my social media pages. Blue Ridge Tools 8 in 1 Lighted Screwdriver Set sold @ Target is garbage.

Wish I read reviews before buying. Needs triple AAA batteries, not the double AA batteries. Bought double AA batteries to go with this that ended up not fitting. Do not buy.

Cheap quality. Packaging says it needs a AA battery, but it in fact needs 3AAA batteries. And one is installed in a different spot upside down. There were no instructions in to show you how to do it.

This thing is terrible. The package doesn't have the correct information about the batteries, and even when I got the correct batteries installed the cover wouldn't stay closed. The bits don't like to stay in place either. Don't waste your money on this.

As other reviews have mentioned the light needs 3 AAA batteries, not the 1 AA the package says. Also not all of the sizes flip fully up, meaning you have the hold the base at an odd angle, which for me continually would wiggle the battery cover off. I used this once and returned it.

Very cheaply made. The battery opening didn’t open the entire thing and battery wouldn’t slide in. The bits barely locked in place and just seemed flimsy. Returned it back to the store.

Sadly, this all-in-one is a terrible screwdriver. When you flip a bit forward, it just barely locks into place and it isn't parallel with the handle. In other words, if you turn the handle on its center, the bit is wobbly and off center. How does something this bad even make it to Target?

Dangerous tool with no instructions. I thought once you have one piece out it would lock in place to keep from folding but no, it ended up folding down and cutting my hand. And if I’m wrong and it does lock some secret way i wouldnt Know because there are no instructions! It says it has a flash light but i can’t even tell where to put the batteries in! Wish i could return.

This was the ONLY screwdriver carried in store, so I bought it as a last resort. Biggest mistake. Don’t even bother. The base of the multi tool is too big, you can’t use it to do anything. It bumps into the wall/door/wood whatever you’re building with it. Scratched up my new tv stand using it because it physically can not fit into the space between two planks of wood. Just go to a home improvement store instead, pick up a package of single count individual screw drivers.

You get what you pay for. The cap holding the battery in place for the light fell out and the clip that holds it in place broke. The screwdriver handle is hard to hold, and when applying even a little pressure bends.

Great idea, and helpful to have around the house if you just need something handy for occasionally tightening a cabinet screw, but the dimensions of this device make it hard to exert much force or control. The drivers that flip in & out are so narrow that they get wiggly if you're trying, say, to assemble furniture and need to press into a screw.
