The BLUE RIDGE 6-Volt AA Battery Powered Screwdriver is a compact, versatile tool, conveniently sized for storage in a toolbox or kitchen drawer. Easy to use for simple household fixes such as changing light switch plates and outlet covers, and powerful enough for your more difficult tasks. The soft-grip handle makes this tool much more comfortable to use than traditional screw drivers. And integrated spindle lock provides more precise control when starting and finishing a screw, as well as allows manual use when needed. Includes two 2” screw driver bits and the ¼” Hex shank is compatible with most common insert bit styles. Four AA batteries are included to get you going right out of the box. This tool is covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty.

Q: Are the bits magnetic?

A: Spindle locks lock the chuck so one can change the bits safely. When the lock is engaged the chuck screwdriver or drill bit cannot move. Most modern drills automatically lock the chuck when the trigger of variable speed trigger is released.

I wish I was joking but I'm not. Moving in to a new apartment and I needed to screw a couple things into the wall. Bought it, put the batteries in, used it to hang a picture frame, then a CO detector, than two hours later to help put a screw in a desk because my handheld one wasn't getting it right enough. First screw goes in, then I start the second one and...it dies. This was about 6 hours after I opened the package and started using it.

I bought this less than 6 months ago and used it a few times. The plastic part where the cover screws in to close the battery compartment has cracked and broken off into pieces. Tried to return this to Target but it’s no longer eligible for a refund so now I have to go through the manufacturer’s warranty. I see in the comments many others had the same problem. Don’t buy this, it is a defective product.

Worked great the first time. Went to use a month later and it stopped working midway, figured this was because I put the batteries provided in it. Unscrewed the base to replace the batteries and the plastic was crumbled. Took the batteries out and could not get the fresh batteries to fit. Definitely don’t recommend. There are better options out there for 10-15 dollars more and they’re rechargeable.

It did not work! I placed the batteries in it and no power. It was missing the flathead screwdriver and it was returned for a refund. Spend a few extra dollars if you can afford a better option.

If you're desperate for a battery screwdriver

I needed a powered screwdriver quickly for a small job so bought this one. It was all right, but so cheaply made. I went to pick it up a few weeks later and the plastic base just crumbled and fell to pieces. It had not been dropped; it had been used exactly once and never moved again off the counter.

Please do not buy it. This product is awful. I bought the first one and the cap broke within a week. I thought it was my fault but then I bought another one and the same thing happened without even touching it. Very poor quality.

Only thing my girl and I have been able to do is get the light to turn on, drain some batteries, and get it to overheat. Getting the batteries in is torture and getting them out is even worse.

its fine but it doesn’t have much torque and i see a lot of reviews about it overheating and starting to melt but that hasn’t happened to me (yet) but if you want a fire hazard in the house then go ahead its a great fire starter for 13 dollars

if you’re lazy like myself, and just don’t like twisting the screwdriver, it’s worth every penny. If you are somebody looking to replace your screwdriver that is looking for something worth the money stay away from this item, not magnetized, the light on it does not help is not very bright, it has dedicated buttons for directions, but rotates in the opposite direction. Very bulky for an item with limited functionality, as well as lack of screwdriver heads.

This screw driver is cheap, and a hazard. Do not buy this junk. It will barely work if it does at all, and then when you get it to turn on the batteries melt

The batters were a bit tricky to put inside but I needed a quick and cheap drill to install my license plate. It worked perfectly. What do you expect for the price? It’s not going to be a good drill to use at home for projects but it did the job o needed it to do. It’s portable and battery operated

I got to use this once and months later when I tried to get it out again it no longer works. Replacing the batteries did nothing and now the only thing it would be good for is maybe a mediocre melee weapon. Not worth the price I paid for it.
