Boppy Best Latch Nursing Pillow - Gray Leaf Stripe

My baby was a little early so she was a little smaller. Latching was brutal, my back was always hunched, the original Boppy I had would slide, and it all made nursing so much more stressful! I almost gave up. This was frustrating because with my first child, breastfeeding was a breeze! As soon as I got this pillow, we had success!! Because of the clip around my body, I was able to use both hands and not worry about it sliding around and could now focus on the latch while sitting up straight. The pillow itself is high so you don't need to hunch over, and its fluffy, with a memory foam cushion on the bottom to support it. Get this pillow!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pillow is working well for me feeding my newborn. I exclusively use the firm side - it's just right and has a nice ledge that helps him stay on the cushion. The form cushion can be removed from the case so you don't have to wash it each time. I wish the softer pillow could also be removed from the pillow case for washing of the case alone, rather than the whole pillow. I'm considering having a second one of these around for when one is in the wash!!

Boppy pillow can be used for so many things. I remember I took my baby to Hawaii and on plane when my baby was only 5 months. It was a life saver!

Perfect for plus size mamas. A few reviews mention that they don’t like this pillow because they don’t like the strap. I’m not sure how this pillow would stay secure for parent or baby without using the strap… it’s not made to wrap around and stay like a traditional boppy, the strap is definitely needed! I’ve also seen reviews mentioning that the cover is not removable. This is true and kind of annoying, however the pillow is washable (once the smaller insert is removed via the zipper). I have washed it and it washes perfectly. I tried the traditional boppy and the mybrestfriend and this pillow fit the best for me by far. Highly recommend!

Love the thickness. HATE the straps! They stayed tucked in the side pockets at first, but we’re almost three months in so the pillow has softened a bit, and the strap on the left works loose. When it’s tucked, the buckle digs into my arm/elbow. I finally just cut the straps off because of it, and it’s much more comfortable! Also not crazy about the insert on the grey side. It’s firm and curved, I’m guessing to keep the baby from rolling off. I’ve never used this side up. Lastly, why is there no cover for these?!?! If you want to wash it, you have to wash the whole thing! Being plus size, I still prefer it over the traditional boppy, but I don’t understand why they make a plethora of protective covers for their classic boppy, but they don’t even make the cover removable for this one. Very frustrating! It’s one of the best options I could find, unfortunately, so I would recommend, and it has done the trick, I just wish it didn’t have the straps and had a removable cover.

Not sure if this is what you want to hear but I am 81 years old and I use the boppys to read my books. That way my head doesn’t hang down and they are at eye level. Works fantastic!

I got this because it seemed like the best of both worlds combining the brest friend pillow with the original boppy. This pillow is WAY too flimsy and the padding isn’t firm enough. The harder top is also thin, so it just bows under the weight of the baby. Worked OK for a couple weeks then just became way too soft to work with. Super disappointed I spent $45 on this.

So this is my fifth pregnancy and this pillow is definitely my favorite of all the ones I have tried throughout the years! I am actually able to sit up in my chair to nurse my baby and I am not hunched over!! Amazing! I compared this pillow’s specifications (pillow height) with other ones I have not tried and have tried and ordered it based on it having more padding. It definitely does and I am so grateful that I can finally sit back without having to hold up or scoop up my newborn to be able to sit up straight and comfortably. Buy it!

Got it for my second. Traditional boppys are too flat for me. The fluffiness makes feeding easier. I never used the hard insert or the strap. The buckles do not stay tucked in. One buckle has ripped off already. No covers are available so you have to wash the whole dang thing.

I love this pillow! The first pillow i got was a dinky one because i’m a first time mon and didn’t know any better. Recently learned that my son had both a tongue and a lip tie that were making it difficult for him to gain weight. We got those revised, and i also decided to get a new pillow to see if that would help as well. I settled on this Best Latch Boppy and I am so glad that I did! On top of the revisions, this has made breast feeding a lot more comfortable for both of us. I’m no longer hunched over trying to hold him up to my breast, this pillow has a good height to it. I also love that i can strap it to myself! One of my issues with my old pillow was that he kept slipping between me and the pillow, and with the straps, he no longer does that! I am so so glad i put my faith in this pillow, and i hope my review helps others make a decision. :)

So I’ve found that the regular boppy on its own isn’t the best nursing pillow because it doesn’t provide enough support to elevate the baby off your lap. This version is more like the breast friend pillow but I actually like the shape even better. Unfortunately, you can’t wash the cover which seems like such a simple oversight for something that’s inevitably going to get milk spilled on it. Will likely return.

Nursing support has been very important to me as I got tendonitis in one of my shoulders with my first born, received physical therapy during and after my second pregnancy and ended up with bilateral tendonitis by my third pregnancy. One of the biggest things my physical therapist recommended after the birth of my second child was to use a nursing support pillow so I didn’t put extra strain on my shoulders, allowing my tendonitis to heal. I used a hand-me-down nursing pillow for all four of my kids that I thought worked fine, but I had no idea of the comfort a nursing pillow could give until I tried the Boppy Best Latch Breastfeeding Pillow. I love how there was a firm side and a soft side. I found that the firm side was nice for right before bedtime, when I was transitioning the baby to a supine position, and the cushioned side was better for after wakings, when the baby wanted to cuddle next to me as she nursed. I have always been a big fan of a nursing pillow with a strap as it’s important to have proper support. The strap was great at holding the pillow around my waist and was very easy to adjust. The only downside to this specific strap was that once adjusted, it did not hold as strongly as I would have liked. It felt like the pillow had to sit on my lap, instead of being possible to hold up on its own with just the use of the strap. I felt like this was fairly minor overall though as the pillow still provided ample support while breastfeeding and I was able to hold my baby in a comfortable position. I really liked the shape of the foam; that it allowed the baby to lean into my body. I was able to hold her securely without feeling like she would roll away. I found the best feature though to be how easy it is to wash! If others babies are anything like mine, they often make a mess of nursing pillows…things often like to exit both ends after they relax (if you know what I mean). Having a sanitary nursing pillow is a must and the fact that this one is so easy to clean makes it the winner as far as nursing pillows are concerned! It is contoured in a way that prevents my son from sinking between me and the pillow but also is cushioned enough for comfort. My son is very particular with his position in order to latch. This provides great head support. My favorite part of the pillow is the strap to prevent the pillow from slipping and my son breaking his latch. It was easy to customize the fit to what’s best for me.
