Boppy Uplift Nursing Pillow - Tan Pebbles

50 dollars for polyester is not okay. I'm trying to reduce microplastic exposure for my kids. There's enough to be worried about today. I have the organic cotton boppy and cover and it's great. But I wanted this to be able to manually express on the side my baby isn't nursing on due to my overactive letdown, plus it sounded good for her reflux. I'm disappointed it's not cotton and won't be keeping it.

I recently purchased this pillow and have used it a few times. The elevated angle has really seemed to help my baby feel more comfortable after feedings. It's also very comfortable for both my little one and me when I need to provide support during feeds. However, when I received the pillow, it appeared to have been dropped on the floor, as there was some dirt on it, which was disappointing. For a product intended for my baby, I expected it to arrive in pristine condition, and I think better packaging safeguards would help prevent this. Despite this issue, I still find the pillow effective and comfortable for both of us—it's nothing a wash won't fix.

I bought a different nursing pillow when I had my first daughter and ending up returning it because I couldn’t get in a comfortable position when nursing (sat baby up too high). I have a very popular nursing pillow prior to receiving this. All was good with that pillow except sometimes it slid off to the side and I always had to bend over a bit which isn’t good for my back postpartum. So when I received this boppy uplift pillow, I looked for these two fixes and I found one! The name of this pillow does it justice, it literally up lifts. No need to worry about uncomfortably bending slightly over to feed baby. Breastfeed at your comfort! The pillow is bound to move slightly, just like any other nursing pillow. It’s not the end of the world but it would be very helpful if it didn’t need a bit of adjusting.

I use my original Boppy for feedings throughout the day, so of course I was excited for an upgrade. This pillow is so stunning it might be mistaken for a throw pillow. It definitely fits in with my decor and is appealing enough to leave sitting around on the couch. This new pillow has a lot of features including a sloped design so that your little one’s head is elevated during feeds. I appreciate that since we have always had reflux. The handle also helps us move it around when we need to adjust positions or move to another room. The pillow itself is very sturdy, maybe even a little too firm, but it might soften with more use. I don’t personally use the wrap around belt, but you can unclip both sides making it a completely optional feature. Like the other, it has a washable cover which is necessary for frequent spit ups! Overall I would give this pillow a 9/10 deducting a point for the firmness! If your little one deals with reflux this new version will be your BFF!

This is different than anything I’ve seen on the market and it’s a game changer if you have a fussy baby. It has a sloped design to elevate baby’s head. I got this pillow when we were struggling with colic, excess gas, and spitting up. Immediately, I could tell that she didn’t need to be burped as much when we used this pillow versus the another pillow we have. She also didn’t gag or choke on milk while she was eating. It is also much firmer and higher, which is amazing for moms with longer torsos. I’m tall and it has saved my shoulders, which were aching from leaning over. The comfy strap makes it perfect for nursing on the go. The only pain is that it has to be rotated in the middle of the nursing session, but that can’t be helped because of the sloped design. The handle on the back makes it easier to turn while burping baby. It’s a unique design for a nursing pillow. If you and your baby are struggling with colic or spitting up, the Boppy Uplift Nursing Pillow is worth a shot! Upon receiving the pillow, I was pleasantly surprised by the look of it. It is very simple but stylish in design, which I like. The color is super cute and the material is easy to clean, by just a quick wipe. I often breastfeed on the couch and my let down can be pretty fast, so the uplift pillow helps a lot with that. My little one does have a slight reflux and using the pillow helps to pace his feedings, letting me put him more level to my body. The boppy has a back strap that you can click around you for stability. It is a bit heavier for me to carry around my body and maneuver quickly. It does have a pocket on the outside, which is great to store a pacifier real fast. Also there’s a handle on the outside of the boppy, which you can carry it with, but it does sit plush which can be hard to grab on to. Overall, I highly recommend the boppy upright pillow for breastfeeding, especially if your little one has reflux.

The only thing I like about it is the fabric. First off, the pillow itself is VERY hard. It’s almost like laying on hard floor. My son absolutely hates laying on it and won’t nurse or eat from a bottle if he is on this pillow. It’s very lumpy as well on the sides and very bulky/kind of awkward. It is comfortable to wear but that’s about it. It reminds me of hip seats that clip on to your hip, except those are even softer than this. We love the original boppy pillows and will likely continue using those for feeding. They are much softer.

I like to call my 2 month old the "spit up king" and the angle of the pillow does seem to help reduce his spit ups by keeping his head up higher and sloped closer to my body. Another huge plus - the angle and firmness of the pillow makes it far more comfortable than any other nursing pillow I've used. I'm tall with a long torso so I usually have to lean forward to nurse, which hurts my back. Not the case with this pillow! The handle and pocket are also convenient. I like to stash a burp cloth in the pocket so I'm not searching for one when I need it. The belt is a nice addition but not something I really use - I appreciate that it's detachable. I love that the cover can be thrown in the washing machine and washes well, but the pillow itself is spot clean only, which is really the only downside I have. I really like that it has a wrap around strap that can either keep the pillow in place on my body or serve as a handle when I need to take it from room to room. With a young baby, being able to put the strap over my arm to take it to another room is MUCH easier than having to carry a crescent shaped pillow. I like the incline of the pillow for nursing and for feeding my son with a bottle. It keeps his head more aligned. The drawbacks I found were that it was incredibly firm, almost not soft enough and that the cover was so smooth that it was hard to keep my son in the same place for feeding. I had no idea how much I would love this Boppy Breastfeeding pillow until I started using it. As a first-time mom, I quickly realized that breastfeeding is way harder than I expected. Holding my baby in the right position for feeding, dealing with reflux issues, and trying to keep my posture in check …. I was NOT prepared to say the least. But this pillow has seriously made all the difference and made me not absolutely hate breastfeeding. The sloped design is a game-changer! My newborn started to have really terrible reflux everytime he ate at around 3 weeks. He cried everytime he spit up and it made me so sad. My pediatrician recommended keeping his head elevated for 15-30 minutes after feeding. Doing that at 3am was HARD. Luckily, this nursing pillow helps since I don’t even have to think about it which is a plus when you are sleep deprived! Keeping him slightly elevated while feeding has also definitely helped reduce the amount of painful spit up. Before I got this pillow, I was constantly shifting around, trying to find a comfortable position while nursing. Other pillows weren’t firm enough and I would end up ditching them altogether. My arms would get tired, my back would start aching, and I’d end up all hunched over, which wasn’t helping my latch issues. But this pillow is soft and plush while being firm enough to keep my baby in a comfortable, supported position. I can just place my son on it, and the pillow places by baby at the perfect height which makes latching so much easier. Especially during those middle-of-the-night feeds when I’m half-asleep and in the dark. My baby is able to stay drowsy during the middle of the night since I don’t have to jostle him around so much. The buckle strap also really places this pillow above others that I have tried. I HATED dealing with other pillows slipping out from under me mid-feeding. With the strap that buckles around, the pillow never moved and feels so much more secure. It really is just so easy to use. The handle is a small detail, but it’s so nice for carrying it around when my hands are full (which is pretty much all the time now). The storage pocket is another great feature. I usually keep a burp cloth or my phone in there so I don’t have to go digging for them during feedings. Honestly, I don’t know how I ever nursed without this pillow! It’s saved my breastfeeding journey and is a staple in my nursery. If you’re a breastfeeding mom, especially if your little one struggles with spit-up like mine did or you hate other nursing pillows like I did, I highly recommend trying this nursing pillow out!
