Q: Does it REPEL hair? I see reviews complaining it doesn't remove pet hair, but since this isn't advertised as removing hair these reviews aren't helpful. Tell me whether or not clothes actually attracted less hair after using this.

submitted byGrandma Karen - 8 months agoA: I have a spaniel yes it does repeal but if you’re not great about brushing your pup (my husband) you still will get fur on you. but the real help is how much fur it removes in the dryer. Nicely scented I cut the large sheets in half often only need a half sheet. If I use an entire sheet I like the two halves tumbling through out the load. Leaves clothes soft but not overly so. I really notice the difference on our T-shirts they look great.

Instead of helping , this product makes cat hair sticks to all my clothes this is especially noticeable on dark. I have 2 older cats, one is white. After buying this product I think more sticks to the clothes. Now I have been using a lint brush to get the hair off my clothes when removing from the dryer to fold. Very. Disappointed I’m going back to the old bounce or another brand. Ugh

If you think these dryer sheets will help control your pet hair SORRY these are just regular dryer sheets they do NOTHING for pet hair in fact my clothes have MORE pet hair on them AFTER drying. these sheets do not work as advertised

I have used Bounce sheets for 30 years. I have always loved them. I've never had issues until recently. For the past 15 years we've used the exact same drier manufactured by LG. We always clean the lint trap out after every load. I always used the used sheet to wipe out all the lint from the trap, and it always came completely clean. Recently I bought a 2 pack of this specific line because we have a cat that sheds. Since we started using this specific line we have had issues with our lint trap. The trap is getting clogged with some grey colored residue. It's to the point I have tried using a shop vac and even a air compressor to clean the lint trap. No luck. I have tried washing the lint trap with soap and water. Still no luck. I have even tried replacing the lint trap by buying a new one from the manufacturer. The new trap still has the same issue. Its the same machine we've had for many years, same water, same clothes. The only thing different is the fabric softener sheets.
Sticky Lint in Dryer Filter

This formula causes the lint, which collects in the dryer filter, to grow very sticky and becomes a challenge to clean. I've never had any problems of this type until they added the Lint Guard feature. Regular, Scented, Unscented and Pet Hair - all of these Bounce products worked great until the "Lint Guard" feature was added. I gave this a 1 star rating because I threw out a nearly full box. I also bought a second box that I'll return to the store.

Our Quality Team, along with many dryer manufacturers, share that residue can happen periodically through general use. It is a good idea to regularly have your dryer vents cleaned. We suggest using Dawn, hot water and a gentle scrub brush to clean your lint filter. If you're not comfortable with this, there are maintenance professionals who are happy to do this routine cleaning. Check with your dryer manufacturer/salesman for more help with that. Used one sheet on my cat's blanket, which I washed by itself. Didn't remove much hair and the overly strong and cheap scent permeated not only the blanket, but the next three loads of laundry and the whole laundry room. I put the box out on the patio and now the patio stinks! These strong laundry scents are wax based and they eventually coat fibers in fabric, making them nearly impossible to get rid of. It cannot possibly be good for dogs and cats to smell of this stuff if is used on their bedding, as they have such sensitive noses. My cat now won't sleep on his blanket.

I tried one sheet on my cat's blanket, didn't notice much difference in hair removal and now EVERYTHING, even my cat, stinks of this penetrating, ghastly fake flowery smell. My dryer still smells of it, after doing two other loads of wash. I put the box out on the patio and now the patio stinks! My suspicion is that this product deposits a wax-based substance (that's what these horrible laundry-detergent smells are) which is hard to remove and is probably bad for cats, who lick themselves clean. And really, how does it benefit an animal such as a dog or cat who have very sensitive noses? It seems rather cruel.

I have short hair dogs, there’s always fur all over the place. I don’t know what I would do without these sheets, but why is there only one scent? I would love a clean longer lasting dryer sheet. I would recommend these sheets for all types of laundry to help keep the lint balls from forming. Best to completely unfold the mega sheets.
