Was fairly easy to assemble. A great addition to my home gym. Didn’t want to spend the money on a pricy machine, so this was perfect with the versatility I was looking for.

Love the Bowflex. Been using it for years. Former D1 college football player and professional rugby player. Bowflex is different than free weights but it can still strengthen and improve muscle definition. I love it
A must have machine in these covid times

During these covid times we all need to work out to keep our strength up. I've owned a couple PR 1000 units and frankly at the price, everyone should own one. Combined with a recumbent cycle, treadmill and IR dry heat sauna, I never have to go to the gym. I did acquire everything over time but it lasts and it's worth it. The only problem is who is on it at what time. A gym schedule, even at home, is important. Please, Bowflex, never discontinue this model. It's an affordable lifesaver !
I wouldn't buy this product again

Buy this and used less than 3yrs and the rods are already weak and flimsy. Cant find replacement parts as a whole set. Have to buy each rods separately. Sucks because it's very expensive.

I am a 54 year old Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. I spent 26 years in the US Army and have participated in combat sports all of my life. Bottom line, I love fitness and it continues to be a significant part of my life. I can't express how happy I am to have this machine as part of my home gym. It is the perfect option for resistance training. It is simple to use, easy to change resistance, and allows the user to target multiple muscle groups and exercises. I highly recommend this wonderful machine!

Just received yesterday. Set up was much easier than advertised! Went through the options on how to use it and this machine appears to do it all. I'm excited to have this in my home gym and to start using this!

Not enough weight for legs, shoulder press, or chest press

It's okay for isolation exercises, but unless you want to do 100 some reps for legs and chest it's not worth the money. Can't find higher weight stacks online. The resistance gets harder the farther you get from the rack, so unless you're over 6 foot tall the resistance doesn't even set in for leg press.

I am 41 and fit. I have been lifting all of my adult life. I read a lot of comments from gym rats about the lack of resistance on these machines. The only exercise that I would agree on that is the leg press. However, if you want to work your quads, use the leg extension - there's more than enough weight to keep you challenged. I had a Bowflex 20 years ago and I loved it. When I went into the military, it disappeared. With dumbbells and a bench at home I just wasn't able to do all of the things I wanted to do - I mean, they get the job done, but not like this. If you use controlled movements, you'll get as much or more of a burn than with free weights. I'm so happy with this new and improved Bowflex. Thanks!!
