Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

Height

Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.
Chest

Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.
Waist

With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.
Hip

Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.
Inseam

Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

I’m a petite gal, so I like shopping in the girls and boys section because sometimes it fits me even better than ladies’ sizing. This is a boy’s large and it fits great. I’m 5’2”, 110 lbs, and a small B cup. The quality is good and it’s so comfortable. There are dupes out there that look similar that are hundreds of dollars, so this is a steal as a look for less!

My son is weaning a size extra large and this definitely runs true to size. For size reference, he is five foot Tall and weight ninety five pounds. This pairs well with jeans or khaki pants. Definitely soft and warm for the holiday season I received an incentive to write this review.

Runs super big. My son is 6 1/2 years. I ordered S 6/7. He was almost swinging in this. Disappointing since he planned on wearing it for a school play. We needed for this season not next years when he’s the next size up. Most of target kids clothes runs large.

This sweater is kinda out door themed with trees and mountain background. Different shades of brows in color. Very comfortable and soft material. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the mountain or forest theme of this sweater. This seems like it would be good for a camping trip. My son is 5. I ordered the xs 4 5 and it definitely ran large as you can see the arms are too long. The torso was also long on him. I recommend sizing up. The quality of the sweater is great. I like that it is a quarter zip. Overall great sweater but I don't like the sizing issues I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my 13 year old boy. I would say he is about average height and weight. I think the extra large for him perfect. I thought the print was kind of fun and rustic looking. Different than you normally see for boys clothes. It was a cool neutral looking mountain print on the front and back and the sleeves ! I would say it is like a Sherpa material. He complained it felt itchy on the inside. It was soft but also kind of scratchy feeling. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this so much! However it does run a bit big so I would size down if you were looking for a more fitted look. The outside is very fuzzy and soft, the inside is more of just polyester feel. I loved the zipper and the extra chest zipper as well. My son said it was very warm and comfortable. He’s 5 years old 55lbs and normally wears around a 6 and this was still big. I loved the print and will be great for winter. I received an incentive to write this review.

My son really like the print and the softness of the Zip Sweater however we found the sizing was much much larger than expected. We ordered the size we normally get however this zip sweater was quite large and the sleeve length was way too long as well.

Totally cute sweater with a 1/4 top zipper, nice woodsy design for the cold winter season. Warm material guaranteed to keep you warm in cold weather! The fit is perfect and snugs you just perfectly for a great insulator.

My kiddo loves this super soft fleece. He is about 4’ 9” and the size L 10/12 fits great with enough room for layers under and sleeves long enough for him to pull over his hands. He says the pattern is “hiking style” and he likes that. The material feels fairly thick and warm and while it’s not cold here yet I’d feel comfortable sending him out wearing it on chilly days probably into the mid-low 40s, with appropriate layers under.

My son loves the softness of this pullover! Quarter zip with a separate small zippered compartment on the front. The scenic print is probably suited for younger kids and maybe not preteens or teens but it doesn’t look or feel cheap. While it isn’t super thick material, it definitely provides warmth and is a well made, cozy, easy to wear staple piece of clothing.
