Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Thes shorts are made really well & not heavy on my son at all. I pove the length & this material holds up really well after washes. Ive had shorts in the past that scrunch up & these dont do that. These twnd to dry fast of they get wet so they are a summer must have! Ive included photos of how deep the pockets are which is great for collecting rocks or carrying snacks. The band is a drawstring & is about an inch

They are blue cargo shorts that reach right above the knee. They have two back pockets, two side pockets, and two front pockets that are all functioning. I recently got these cargo shorts by Cat & Jack and they are perfect! My little one loves the camo print and the fit. They are lightweight making them super comfortable to wear. These shorts go to my little ones knees. They offer a flexible waistband and pockets. The drawstring is great so you can get that secure fit. I got these shorts in his current size and they fit him just right. I did wash and dry these shorts prior to him wearing and they came out as good as new. These shorts can be paired with a variety of tops and shoes. I will be getting more of these shorts from this brand. If you are looking for high quality shorts for your little one, I highly recommend these one by Cat & Jack!

My child loved camo style. He loved when he saw this pants but it was a little big for him. He normally wears S size or 6. But most of 6/7 size at target seem a little big for him. Especially waist size. Length is ok so I have to find XS but then length is short. Some size 6 is big too. So always better to try on at store or home before you cut tags.
