A: Hello Diane lamp - Thank you for your Question! The Brass floor lamp requires a non-dimmable bulb. As long as the bulb has a maximum wattage of 60 Watts with standard edison medium screw base E26, it should be good to use. Hope this helps! - Eram

The glass globe cracked when I was tightening it so I had to buy a replacement form the hardware store. I was very gentle - I have this style in light fixtures all over my house and have never had this problem before.
