It seems to work okay, not sure about catching the short hairs...just got it and still had a few hairs I can feel to the touch, but not see, so I'll have to use a few more times for a better evaluation.

I think this is a great option if you routinely wax, but if you’re used to shaving, you might find the pain a bit intense. On the plus side, the hair removal is effective with one swipe and you could manage a whole leg in about two minutes. The hair removal is durable and the hair grows back finer over time. It is painful to say the least tried it both on soft and dry skin it still hurts and i have a low pain tolerance but i am going to say it’s portable it have a long battery life and the noise is decent.

To begin with, the product includes SE5 epilator, skin contact head, cleaning brush and case, all this comes with an excellent presentation. But let's go to what interests, does the product work or not? And the answer is yes, I tried the product on only one leg to make the comparison with the other, at first I tried it dry and it was a little annoying but with wet skin the process becomes more comfortable. After two weeks I started to come out 2 or 3 isolated hairs and I passed the product again and the truth is if it takes time to come out again, since in the other leg where I used another product after 5 days I already started to get hairs everywhere. I highly recommend the product if you have sensitive skin I recommend not to do it dry. It is very easy to charge and has a good battery life and you can hardly feel it when using it. It makes almost no noise

It even came with a cleaning brush! I was able to remove all hair from the targeted area easily. After cleaning a large area I had power for hours after. Also the humming noise was very subtle, which is perfect if you live with family and need privacy.

I tried using it different ways, but I couldn't bear to use it past the first setting. If you're used to waxing, then maybe you'll be able to deal with the pain. Great idea, but it's not for me.

This makes the hair easier to remove. Also make sure your skin is dry before epilating, unless you're using a Silk-epil Wet & Dry model, which can be used on wet skin. > Epilate slowly. It should take approximately 15 minutes to do each leg. > Move the epilator in several directions, as leg hair can grow in different directions and you should move the epilator accordingly. -The Braun Team

The Braun Silk-epil 5 SE5-011 is a Wet & Dry model so it's entirely waterproof. Warm water relaxes and soothes the skin. The warmth improves your circulation, stimulates pain-reducing substances and makes your skin less sensitive. So the tugging sensation is considerably reduced in water. For best results, start epilating after relaxing in warm water for about 5 minutes. Hold your leg and the epilator under the water. Your hairs will then lift up, making them especially easy to grip. If you're in the shower, apply a little shower gel for perfect results. Epilate slowly. It should take approximately 15 minutes to do each leg. Try not to press the tweezers to the skin. As stated, your safety is our top priority, so if this doesn't improve your experience, then we recommend discontinuing use. It does yank the hairs out, it almost hurts as much as waxing. Not sure if I’ll continue using this just because of the pain. It does come with two extra attachments to be able to adjust to your comfortability. Low noise level. Comes with a plug in as well. Overall design is nice and a small device easy to hold in your hand but be ready because this is.. pain on another level! Maybe I will just keep with my regular razors..

I started on my leg and that went well. My hair was not that long. When I went up to my thighs the hair was much longer and the pain was too much. It felt like little electric shocks. I definitely could only use this with shorter hair. Overall not bad!

Going forward, here are some suggestions to get the best epilating results: > Make sure to stretch and tighten the skin. > Hold epilator at a 90 degree angle to skin. > Use a massage attachment, if available. > To reduce any loud or unusual noises, try a lower setting and make sure the attachment is clicked on correctly – the two triangle symbols on device and attachment must be on top of each other (especially with the SE5 and SE7, the attachment could be clicked on and rotated 180 ° with relatively little pressure). > Try not to apply too much pressure when epilating. > Epilate either on completely dry or on wet skin (so that there is little friction between the skin and the epilator). Slightly damp skin could cause more friction when epilating, which could then lead to skin pinching. -The Braun Team

After leaving it on the charger for the recommended 1 hour, it was ready to go! It’s about the size of my hand so very easy to hold. It will definitely get the little hairs that a normal razor or removal cream can’t get. The noise doesn’t bother me at all, but if your pain tolerance is low remove the hair in different sessions.
