Braun Silk-epil 9-870 3-in-1 Women's Cordless Wet & Dry Epilator + 5 Extra Accessories

I have a much smaller (cheaper) epilator, and this one is grabbing all the short hairs that one wouldn’t touch! My skin is so smooth! It’s not pleasant but it truly does get easier/less uncomfortable each time! I was paying close to $100 just to have my arms and underarms waxed once. This is going to save me SO much money! I have PCOS/hirsutism and this thing is my new best friend. 😍

I was delighted to find out the answer was ... very different from other epilators, razors and shavers on the market. Easy to follow directions that don't require a degree in rocket science and amazing results with super smooth & less irritated skin too!

I reluctantly bought this epilator. Many family members have it and were raving about it. A cousin who now doesn’t have to shave her legs anymore and other family who use it on their chin (my problem). The initial use is painful, But fortunately after a few minutes you become numb to the pain and was able to finish the area. It didn’t catch all my hairs at first. I now have the technique down better and see what I did wrong. There’s a picture in the instructions, you need to pull the hair and skin tight right as you’re going over it, it helps. I was sore the next day so I didn’t use it again until the second day. Got the strays and will continue doing this way (every few days). My chin is so smooth. The pain isn’t as bad the second or third time. It gets less painful. Especially because you’ll have less and less hair each time. I wish I knew about this 20 years ago, I’ve been suffering that long with chin hair.

Bought Silk-epil 9 June 2020 and stopped working March 2021. Suddenly wouldn’t turn on or charge. If you want to spend over $100 for something working only 9 months this is the right product.

I’ve been using this product for a while now and every time I use the epilator, it feels as if it’s my first time using it. It’s SO painful. Not only that but I’m left with so many red dots after epilating... I also need to epilate frequently because this doesn’t pull out every single little hair of mine. I wouldn’t recommend this to sensitive, light skinned people.

I bought this product and almost when it was close to the review date it broke. The wire came off when I was cleaning it . I purchased this coz of the reviews but then did not expect it to break so soon

HAD GREAT HOPE AS THE FIRST FEW SHAVES WENT SMOOTHLY. BUT AFTER CLEANING HEAD THE SPRING HOLDING IT KEEPS POPPING OUT. I’M OVER IT. TEDIOUS TO POP BACK IN. NOT WORTH THE CRAZY AMOUNT EITHER WHEN I CAN GET A 35 ONE WITH NO SUCH ISSUES. IT’S ALSO BULKY TO GRIP.

Buying this epilator was the best decision! Wish I had bought this sooner. Now with the pandemic, it is sure to be a girl's best friend. The product arrived well packed and before time as always with Target :) Braun being such a reputable brand, the superior quality of this epilator was a given. The instructions on putting the components together, using and taking it apart for cleaning were all very clear in the manual. As for the pain, I was prepared for the worst, but it was surprisingly okay for me. But I will mention that I have been waxing for almost 20 years now, so I am quite tolerant to some amount of discomfort. So the comfort level with this epilator was quite comparable for me. Because it had been a few months since I had waxed (i.e before things shut down due to the pandemic), I used the trimmer head to shorten the longer hairs, as recommended in the manual, prior to epilating and it worked like a charm. I would recommend using it right after a warm shower, so that the pores are a little opened up to ease the process. That way the discomfort is also minimized. I will definitely recommend this product.

I am a regular epilator user. I have been using a more basic model and decided to step up. I do not regret spending more. This style was way faster due to the tilting head and larger surface area. The “headlight” helped with fine hairs. Good performance. The only negative: you cannot epilate while plugged into the charger.

It's a quality product and fairly easy to use! It was a bit intimidating for me since I'm always rushing through what little time I take for my routine. It's effective, has great features and once you get used to it the discomfort goes away. All in all, a great product!

I love that it is not just a epilator, but also has a head to trim your hair. So really, it's a two in one. Plus it's cordless and really easy to clean. It also says that it can be used wet or dry. I haven't tried using it wet yet, but it's nice to know that it's an option.

This is my first time using an electric shaver and was impressed. It was pain free and pretty fast in shaving my underarm. The con is that it doesn't shave up closely and you need to go over it several times to get all the hairs. So even after using it you would need to go over it with a razor blade to get all the hair removed. So moving on to the epilator it was also my first time using and after YouTubing several videos on how to use it I was ready to give it a try. I will say it's very painful and I hope after several times of using it I can bare the pain. It does do a good job and removing the hair but you do have to go over it several times. I tried it after I had shaved so I'm not sure if that's why it took several times for it to get all the hair. So I'm hoping after several uses it's thin out the hair and that it'll grow out slowly. But yes I would recommend purchasing this shaver/epilator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Silk-epil 9 SensoSmart 9/880 Wet And Dry epilator works like a charm! I have been using this electric shaver and facial cleaner for over 3 weeks now and I love it. The electric razor has reduced my shave time in the shower. My hair is growing back slower and I seem to need to shave just a bit less. The full charge has lasted me 3 shaves! The instructions state minor sensitivity could occur in spots, which happen to be under my arms. After an initial use, the sensitivity reduces and now is much better. The facial cleanser is another plus, it's a refreshing clean feel after use. I don't use it daily, but it has joined my regular routine.

I did have to change directions a few times. I used the gentle speed until I can get more uses in. If you can handle waxing you should have no problem with this. It's gentler on the skin. On my face it didn't hurt much because I am used to it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a different form of hair removal. I had no skin reaction and almost no redness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this epilator for my arms and legs but I found it to be too painful on longer/ hair areas. I think a numbing cream would be great to add for those people like me who have coarse hair. I would love to use in my underarms and bikini area.

On first use, my skin was a bit sensitive but it calmed down quickly and now I've grown used to it. This effectively removes hair and leaves my skin soft and smooth - I also love the face washing brush!

The fact that I can can save hundreds o with this device versus waxing makes it worth the investment! Exfoliate before and after and as a fair blonde I had minimal bumps.
