A: The water tank and dispersion plate in the portafilter to assist with preventing spitting and spurting while extracting espresso in the Breville® BES876 Barista Express® Impress are both BPA free and the only plastic that the water used in the expresso machine will come in contact with.

A: The grinder of the Breville® BES876 Barista Express® Impress does not need to be used and the tamper level would be bypassed if the grinder is so pre-ground coffee can be used and manually tamped into the filter cups. 54mm tampers can be purchased directly from Breville®.

A: The Breville® BES875 Barista Express™ Impress can extract espresso, dispense hot water and heat and froth milk. Any combination created with those is possible. It also has the ability to create 2 single shot cups of espresso at one time.

good looking, high quality feel, the coffee just couldn't come out right in taste for me, lots of effort required, and still never could get there. bland taste. Wish I knew: Any larger than normal coffee mug won't fit under, annoying to use 2 glasses. Hot water dispenser splashes everywhere if used right after the steam wand. Decent, but not worth the effort.

I really really tried to make this machine work but the precision dosing is horrendous. The assisted tamping is also pointless. I wish I would’ve just purchased the non impress version of this so I can just do my dose and dial in my coffee in a better way. I even had a barista friend come to help me and they even said the dosing & impress feature is absolutely the downfall of this machine. I get my beans from my local coffee shop, it’s always 1-2 weeks freshly roasted. I’ve gone through about 8 bags of beans at this point and have only gotten maybe 5 cups off good coffee. I’m so sad I can’t return this.

Do not buy these machines from Target. They sent me the machine that seems as if it was a return and they re sold It. I didn’t get any of the item needed to properly operate the machine. Meaning the water filter, descaler that is supposed to come in the box. All they told me they could do for me is I can return it and re buy it. This is not an easy item to just box up and carry into a store. And I got it on a sale price so rebuying it would mean I would have to pay more. Waste of your time. Go elsewhere

The design makes it super easy to clean and the footprint is not that large. I would 100% recommend this machine to anybody interested in having delicious coffee drinks every morning

The automatic grinding and tamping feature is wonderful! With my previous machine I always struggled to get the correct amt of ground coffee and tamping pressure to get the correct flow time thru the puck. Now it’s perfect every time!

I'm about 2 weeks into this - my first espresso machine - and I'm happy with most features, especially the automatic grinding, dosing, and tamping. Still playing with the dial to get the coarse/fine consistency just right, and not sure whether the hot water is dispensed consistently into the portafilter every time -- but I can't be sure because I keep fiddling with the grinds' consistency. My biggest complaint is that the milk jug seems too small for the steam wand. Yes, I'm still a novice, but it seems almost impossible to steam and froth the milk for a latte without it overflowing the little jug. I realize the wand itself can't be any bigger given the size of the unit, but I'm a bit frustrated by this one issue, and the manual isn't much help.

I have recently purchased this coffee machine as a few of my friends have it and love it. It’s definitely a good machine for beginners. The only thing I’m not liking is that it takes too long when frothing the milk. I may upgrade it to the Pro. Apart from the milk issue, it’s a great coffee machine.

Bought product August 2022, with the features offered it was a convenient product. I drink coffee everyday, but i did not use this machine everyday. After 1 year and 11 months it stopped working (thankfully malfunction occurred just within the 2 year warranty period). After a little bit of “backwards and forwards” with Breville the machine was taken away for service free of charge, good repair service, the fault was related to the circuit board and it had to be replaced. Now, barely 4 months later and now the grinder motor doesn’t work… just stopped (poor electrical connection?) Did i just get unlucky with this product? It is unfortunate, i have been a Breville fan for decades (sometimes they go over the top with loud beepers for early-morning devices that should be quiet) but now i think i will avoid Breville, why spend the extra dollars?

My partner got me this amazing Espresso machine for my birthday, and I’ve been using it ever since. I saw one of my favorite YouTubers, Eamon & Bec, using it, and I was so excited to try it out. At first, I was a little confused about how to use it properly, but I figured it out after a few tries. Now, I’ve mastered this incredible machine! It’s way more advanced than my old one, and I love it. I just finished my first cleaning cycle today, and it was a breeze. I’m so impressed with this machine, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves coffee.
