I’m in love. After spending lots of money on machines and ultimately still buying lots of coffee out, I have finally found one I love! I enjoy making my coffee at home…I really even look forward to it! I feel that you get set up well with tutorials, quality beans, and all the parts you need. I love if!

Defective pre used item sent.

Do not purchase this from Target. They will send you a pre used item that doesn’t work and has missing parts then deny the return when you try to return it. Lesson learned to boycott buying from target unless you want to throw money out the window

Touch Impress Is A Mess

I bought the Barista Touch Impress and am frustrated that I cannot find a dosing funnel that can be used attached to the portafilter to grind and keep coffee from overflowing the portafilter. The machine will ask for more grounds but it spills out to the spill tray. This happens all of the time forcing me to clean up and waste more coffee beans. I purchased the Breville branded 54mm dosing funnel and it does not activate the grinder, so it is useless for what I wanted. Can anyone recommend a dosing cup that will work with the grinder?

The perfect espresso machine

A month ago, right before Christmas, I decided to take the plunge into an espresso machine. The Barista Touch Impress has exceeded my expectations. I was looking for better coffee - it delivers. I was wanting to be able to control my brew and it delivers with ease. It allows me to dial in my coffee grind quickly without waste and the workflow is very intuitive. I even had to bring it with me on my latest RV trip.

Great Idea

After viewing a few YouTube reviews, I was excited to purchase the Touch Impress. I moved up from a super automatic and found this machine easy to use. What I hav found that it is hard to produce a really good espresso shot by itself. I use fresh beans and tried the intelligent brewing system, but whenit says that should be a cafe quality shot usually isn’t. I usually make milk based drinks, so it doesn’t matter as much, but disappointed that I can’t get a great espresso shot.

Allows the drink customization I want

Bought 2 months ago and love coffee from internal grinder, lever tamping, one-touch puck draw and customizable milk steaming or manual steaming. I want my coffee to be a smidge stronger than is drawn. So, I run draw for 10 seconds more through same puck and then manually steam milk to make super fluffy foam using whole milk. And the convenience of adjustability in the ability to do that is exactly why I bought this unit. To me, the foam makes or breaks the cup of coffee.

I compared many brands and technologies of coffee machines and I really came up with the best conclusion, beyond the cost benefit, that to tell the truth, it is worth paying to enjoy an extraordinary coffee. Every day is worth it because the day begins and ends with an exquisite coffee.

Love the Touch Impress

5 out of 5 stars

We decided to purchase the Breville Barista Touch Impress in Sep 2024 and honestly, I am glad we made the purchase. The touch impress is my wife's and I first breville product and after reading all of the reviews from here as well as from reddit, I was almost deterred from even purchasing one. I decided to give it a shot after watching many video reviews praising the machine as a capable espresso machine. I honestly have no regrets after three months of ownership and have used the machine everyday for the last three months; and I do mean everyday (we love coffee). This thing is a workhorse. As I mentioned, even though this was our first breville machine, we did get to play around with an Oracle numerous times from a friends house as well as the Barista Touch and honestly, this machine is quite refined compared to those. I personally have never had any problem with the Touch Impress. One thing I did have issues with at first was finding the right grind setting. The default grind setting was not cutting it even after adjusting the dial. After removing the inner burr and adjusting it manually, I never had any issues again finding the right grind size. Hope this helps somebody and help with the decision making. I do plan on making any updates if any issues should arise with our Touch Impress.

Barista Touch Impress - Flickering

After 5 months, the screen started flickering and the machine would reboot multiple times in a row with no way of stopping it except to unplug the machine. It is possible that we were simply unlucky but my in-laws bought the same model a month after us and it does the exact same thing. Breville offered to replace the product. Hopefully, it survives more than 5 months this time.

I bought this machine a week ago. It worked well 3-4 times. Now it automatically powers off when using the last milk frother option. I am very much disappointed with this machine. I never had expected issues from an expensive and well brand product . That’s why I purchased it

We bought the machine back in May 2024, and have no regrets. We are newbies at making espresso drinks and chose this one because we needed the guidance the machine provides. There is still a small learning curve, but it has been a lot of fun. We stick to the basic drinks and don’t have reason to save our preferences, so so that feature is not useful to us. The drinks it produces are delicious and make the mornings special. Highly recommend this machine, as it has been useful and fun. And it is beautiful, too! :)

Great on everything except one major flaw

Makes great coffee, easy to use, good size water tank, many many things to love about this machine and one thing that is worth losing two stars. You cannot save the grind quantity (single or double shot) with the drink. If, let's say, you do double shot and your spouse does single shots, you are condemned to switch between the settings for eternity. Essentially, saving a drink "recipe" is just saving a milk setting. You should be honest and call it that, Save your Milk Setting. Because you know what? A drink recipe INCLUDES the coffee quantity. The engineer (because no product manager in their right mind would do that) that decided not to save the grind quantity with the drinks recipes should be forced to always have to switch the shot setting before they are allowed to do anything else. Such a shame for an otherwise pretty perfect machine.

Thank you for your review and your feedback. Because the beans are constantly losing gasses, the grind size/amount may need to change day to day. This may also mean that you may need to change to a different filter basket, which the machine wouldn't be able to detect. But we'll definitely pass along your feedback to the appropriate people. We are continuously trying to improve our customer's experience.

New with the Barista Touch Impress, a question

4 out of 5 stars

We bought this two weeks ago. We are working at the grind, testing and tasting, which brought forth an issue and question. The grind often creates a drifting of grounds toward the front of the basket. Spillage occurs often. We noted that there is a dosing funnel on Breville.com , which is back ordered. Is this funnel able to function with Barista Touch Impress? Thanks.

I was very excited to get my Breville Barista touch impress That I bought 8/12/24 . Yesterday I set it up and made 3 americano and one cup of Latte. Was very happy with it. Today I mde one Americano enjoyed it and turnoff the machine. Hour later machine turn on byself and screen was on Service mode. Try to turn off from power button but no respond so I had to disconnect the cord from power outlet. when tried to turn on no respone from power button then I push the side handle tried the power screen became alive but went straight to Service mode wher screen asked your name after entering my name try to press yes green mark but no response. turn off the machine again and no reponse from power button again. So tried the handle and power button to get the power back and unfortunatley machine is back on again on service mode. What making me upset its took me two months to make up my mind to buy a espresso machine and I finnally I choose Breville after viewing the thousand reviews and video but sadly machine even didn't last a day.

1st replacement with similar problems

I had to replace my first machine due to it shutting off mid cycle, especially in the steaming phase. When I say "shutting off" I mean black screen as if power was cut. The replacement machine hasn't "shut off" mid cycle but it consistently shuts off once the steamer reaches 140 degrees. I have mine set to 160 degrees on oat milk setting, but it consistently shuts off at 140 degrees.
