Brother GQ3700 Sewing and Quilting Machine with Wide Table

I was able to repair one of my daughter’s ripped dresses and reattach a chain strap to one of her overalls. I think this would be great for anyone who wants to start or who has already been doing this kind of thing for a while. I felt safe while using and think I will be able to get a lot of use out of this. Still learning but I have high hopes for this.

I’ve always wanted to design and made my own dresses and blouses, so after reading introductions and check a few video tutorials I started to work in this romantic and pretty blouse. I did it, and I’m so excited to continue creating my own clothes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this machine. It's got very easy threading instructions, so you can't really go wrong. It comes with a ton of accessories. The biggest draw being the extra table for larger projects. There are a ton of different stitches and it has a button hole feature and button hole attachment. It took me a second to realize that the table had stable feet tucked away for balance. The one thing I didn't love is the removable box has room for an accessory drawer but it doesn't actually have one. Missed opportunity there. I love that it has so many stitches, is very easy to use and thread. I was sewing in 5 minutes after unboxing it.

Everything in the manual is written out very simply so it was easy to get started and set up. The extended table is so useful, and has become a necessity.

Very simple to thread string through needle with 37 different stitching options. In caparison with Singer it’s a little smaller but both brands are fantastic but will use brother for my daughters dress for Christmas. It always brings me good experience whenever I unboxing and doing my clothings on it. There is a new update wide table for me to widen the clothing when I am working on it. I love the wide table attachment that comes with the appliance. Stitch quality is quite lovely. The led light is perfect for being able to see while setting up your thread and using the machine. There are several sewing and quilting pattern options that are pre-set with it. It comes with extra spools and needles along with some replacement parts just in case there is an accident or any wear down over time. Overall, I am highly pleased with my new Brother GQ3700 machine and will be using it for all kinds of future sewing and quilting projects! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very much so a beginner in the sewing department, but this has helped me learn so much! I'm still not the greatest, but it has helped me get so much better. The different stitches have helped me create some strong and really cool things. I love that this has the threader attached for the needle so I'm not having to strain my eyes and get frustrated trying to get the thread into a tiny, tiny hole. The only issue I have with it is the reverse feature as you have to hold it down while you sew. Being that I am quite uncoordinated as it is, this made it difficult to finish off sections in a smooth way and I ended up having really gross looking finishes. Other than that, I love this machine!

This sewing machine was perfect for my daughter, who had no experience with sewing. She’s 12 years old and was able to pick up on how to use it within one day. I like that it comes with everything you need to start except for fabric and threading, of course. It’s lightweight, easy to store and feels pretty durable. She’s been using it for over 2 months now, and is already a comfortable making quilts, pillows and several other things on her own. I highly recommend this, so I machine especially if you’re wanting to teach a beginner.

This Brother Sewing Machine comes with 6 sewing feet, a needle set, bobbins, has a versatile free arm, instructional DVD and manual. The Brother GX37 is perfect for your everyday sewing and quilting projects, and is great for beginning users up to advanced users. The technical support is great if you need it. Brother offers a program called “Brother at your side”, which offers free technical support via online, live chat or phone for the life of your machine. This is a great sewing machine. It’s portable and lightweight, includes easy to understand instructions and has worked well for what I wanted it for. I’m very happy with it and do recommend it.

The extra large platform is a nice feature! The needle threader and cutter are a huge step up from just a standard machine. I added more rubber padding to the for pedal because it seemed to slip on my wood floors.
