    CHANGE BACK TO OLD FORMULA

I'm so disappointed. I've been using the seaweed shampoo for YEARS after my hairdresser's recommendation. So much so that I would buy the large bottles one after another. To my disappointment the last large bottle was the new formula. I was so confused why my hair instantly felt like oil was being poured on my head even as I was still shampooing my hair!?!? I thought maybe I bought a counterfeit version, this was so bad and so different from the original. I'm so angry and feel so cheated that I spent so much on a large bottle only for it to be a total waste. I'm looking at the other reviews and it seems that everyone else is in agreement with me, ALL bad reviews since the change in formula. Please go back to the original formula, make a large announcement about it, and all of your old customers will come back! Otherwise, I'm gone for good.

    Completely Different Product

I've used this shampoo for 15+ years and have always loved it and kept coming back to it. I recently ordered a liter and it is completely different. It looks and smells completely different, but the worst part is that it now weighs down my hair. What used to be a lightweight nourishing shampoo has now made my wavy hair greasy. Please please please change the formula back to the original. Seems like I'm not the only one who is disappointed by this.

Been using this for almost 10 years, I was wondering if the bottle I bought online was fake? I guess they just ruined the formula. Such a bummer that I have to find a new shampoo and have 1 liter of this

I gave this shampoo a try for a couple months. It left my hair greasy and weighed down. It also dried out my scalp and gave my dandruff. The consistency was thin and watery and I did not feel like it cleaned my hair. It also had a wierd, chemical scent to it. I have fine straight hair so maybe it isn't meant for my hair type? Either way, I will not be purchasing this again

I have used B&B Seaweed Shampoo for years and loved it, until my latest purchase. They changed the bottle to opaque and, apparently, also changed the formula. My hair does not feel clean even after two applications. The smell is not as nice. After all these years, I will need to find a different shampoo.

Have been using this product for decades. It has always been luxurious, thick and clear. Just purchased a new bottle and it's opaque, runny, and feels cheap. That's the last bottle of this product I will buy. Such a shame to completely alter and ruin what was a great product.

There are many great shampoos out there and I rotate through several, including one that removes brassiness from my grey hair, but I keep coming back to this one because it works well, cleans and thickens. This is a very good everyday shampoo.

I'm shocked to read all of the reviews because this may be my favorite shampoo I have ever used and I've tried a lot! It leaves my dry well-water hair silky soft and my husband even loves the smell of it. I am wondering if the "old formula" is back because this stuff is great!

I had my hair done about a month before switching to this shampoo. I switched because of scalp issues. While this worked amazing for my scalp, this stripped my color to the point i need to get my hair redone after just two washes with this. Would love if this was actually color safe like it says.

I have been using Bumble and Bumble Seaweed shampoo and conditioner for years. The shampoo and conditioner have been changed and not for the better. The new formulation of the shampoo weighs down my fine hair whereas the old one didn't . The new shampoo doesn't give my hair shine , unlike the old one. The new Seaweed conditioner is very heavy and greasy, unlike the old one Why put the name of a discontinued product on a new (inferior) one ?

    I find the change BETTER...

I've wanted to like this shampoo in the past, but each and every time I tried it, I noticed an increase in hair fall. I attribute this to the ingredients Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone as it also happens with other brands of shampoos. I believe at least ONE if not BOTH of these were in the previous formulation. When the new formulation came out, I thought I'd give it a shot -- and I'm glad I did! I typically have an oilier scalp and noticed that this shampoo does help me out with that. In addition, I find that hair loss/fall has DRASTICALLY diminished with this shampoo! I find that really interesting as I've tried many different shampoos with so many claims. While this shampoo is supposed to be on the gentler side, etc., perhaps the "less is more" phrase holds true here. I've been reading the reviews as of late for this product and I see that I'm very much in the minority about liking the formulation change. I will say, that I've been on that side before, too, where a favorite product has been reformulated and doesn't work like it used to. I get it, and I hear those of you are upset -- it's NOT a fun experience! The new formulation of this product, however, just agrees with me better than the previous version and I'm surprised the benefits I get from it -- especially being a relatively simple/basic shampoo without a lot of fluff/promises in the claims.

The old formula used to clean my hair so well without overdrying. This shampoo creates a sticky film and is a complete different formula than the original. I really wish they would bring back the old formula.

I've been a loyal Bumble and Bumble customer for decades. My favorites have been the original Seaweed shampoo and conditioner. But you've ruined these two perfect products with horrible new formulas. This was a colossal mistake! Please go back to the old formulas. Otherwise, bye bye Bumble and Bumble.

    Seaweed Shampoo is Terrible

Why did you change the Seaweed Shampoo? I agree with all of the reviews that you have a horrible shampoo now. I am tossing it out in the garbage. It smells cheap now, it is runny and not gel like anymore, does NOT feel like it cleans your hair, the price is ridiculous. I have no problem paying a lot for a good product like this shampoo used to be, but no more. I saw you recommended to another reviewer to try another shampoo. Why would we do that? Change the Seaweed Shampoo back to what it was. You have lost me as a customer and I have been a long time Seaweed Shampoo user.

The only thing that changed seemingly is they added water to the old formula. This new formula is very watery, and very cheap. The old formula was great. Lost me as a long time customer. Also, how is there no longer a pump on the large bottle. Might not matter, as I'm throwing this terrible new product away.

    Why change a great product???

Why was this product reformulated??? It's been around forever so why change an already great thing? Was so disappointed when I went to replenish my stash of shampoos to see that the packaging and the product was no longer the same. First of all when buying the largest size, how can you not include a pump? Do you know how inconvenient it to be turning a huge container to the side to dispense a soapy product in the wet shower especially when it's full and heavy? Who came up with that bright idea to do away with the pump? At $100+ give me the dang pump! Then I go to use the shampoo and find out the smell is different, the texture is all watery now and I understand you all wanted to make the product to help maintain moisture more but now I'm left feeling like my scalp isn't properly cleaned and it feels like there's a slight greasy residue. Now I'm stuck with 2 huge bottles of this new formula and frankly I'm just so disappointed. Please please please bring back the old formula and packaging!!!
