Ha impartido conferencias sobre el mismo tema y el desarrollo social en todos los países de habla hispana, en Australia, Bélgica y Francia, en muchas ocasiones invitado por los gobiernos. Es asesor ad-honoren de varios congresos de América Latina.Ha sido invitado a disertar en el Congreso de Nicaragua, Honduras, la Comisión de Salud del Senado de la República Oriental de Uruguay, la Comisión de Familia del Congreso de la República de El Salvador y la Comisión de Niñez, Juventud y Familia del Congreso de Costa Rica. Además, ha sido conferencista ante las Misiones Diplomáticas de América Latina acreditadas en la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) en Nueva York.
La Comisión Nacional de Valores de Costa Rica le otorgó el Premio Nacional de Valores por su labor a favor de la familia. El Congreso de la República de Perú le otorgó un reconocimiento por su aporte a este país. El Senado de Puerto Rico le dio un reconocimiento por su trayectoria de servicio a favor de la familia.

Sixto Porras, vice president of Hispanic Ministries for Focus on the Family, produces radio and television programs broadcast in more than 38 countries. He is frequently consulted on family issues by newspapers, magazines, and other media in various Latin American countries. He has given conferences on the same subject and social development in all Spanish-speaking countries, in Australia, Belgium, and France, on many occasions invited by governments. He is an ad-honored advisor to several Latin American congresses.
He has been invited to speak at the Congress of Nicaragua, Honduras, the Health Commission of the Senate of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, the Family Commission of the Congress of the Republic of El Salvador, and the Child, Youth, and Family Commission of the Congress of Costa Rica. In addition, he has been a speaker before the Diplomatic Missions of Latin America accredited to the United Nations (UN) in New York.
The National Securities Commission of Costa Rica awarded him the National Securities Award for his work in favor of the family. The Congress of the Republic of Peru granted him recognition for his contribution to this country. The Senate of Puerto Rico recognized him for his service trajectory in favor of the family.
