Was just taking calcium citrate. Had a low lab level, added this calcium carbonate as it is said to have better absorption. Like to make my own capsules to avoid additives, control amounts, and save expense.

I take it daily in my protein shake. CC has a mild antacid effect and studies demonstrate that it is high in absorption. The CC by Now dissolves easily and is almost flavorless

I add this to my coffee as a buffer so that it is not so acidic and it’s easier on my teeth. The coffee taste just the same but a little easier on the tongue and it spares my teeth from the acidic attack of the acids in the coffee.

It meets our vary large list of avoided foods - no one is allergic! We like the effectiveness better than the capsules. Only my most sensitive kid gets a bit queezy over the taste difference in milk. He cannot have juice all the time from hypoglycemia and yeast issues. We'll have to compromise on the capsules for the little guy, but mom and dad are going for this one! :)
