I bought this house and a couple of families for my three year old niece's birthday and she is in love with her adorable Critters and their clever house! I like that the Calico Critters allow little kids to develop their imaginations as they create lives and storylines for the little animals. My niece never wants to stop playing with her Critters!

There are a couple small details that are a bit annoying, the hammock doesn't stay in place, the ladder is constantly falling off, the roof doesn't stay on very well either. The kids were frustrated that the parts kept moving and falling off and ended up throwing those to the side. They have taken to using the lodge for their lol dolls and other small characters. Cute idea but could be put together a bit better for easier use.
