Q: My current cartridge has XXL on it, not XL. I can't tell by the picture but it may look a little smaller than mine. IS this the same thing or not? Thanks
A: Hello CiciCincinnati, The difference between the XXL and XL cartridge is the amount of ink it contains. The XXL and XL cartridges are the same physical size.

Q: how many and what color of cartridges do you need to have to use this printer? If one color runs out, will the rest of the colors print?
A: Hi, Mare K! Regarding your question about the Canon ClI-281 Pixma Ink Cartridge - Cyan (2088C005): You have asked this question on the ink cartridge page and not a printer page. Pixma printers compatible with this cartridge will likely take 4-5 cartridges/tanks: Black, Yellow, Cyan (and/or Blue), and Magenta. If one color runs out, the printer will likely not print, no.
