Everything is as expected for inexpensive desk. Expect a solid 3 hours to assemble. The file drawer was hard to install, had to squeeze the drawer rails together slightly get the drawer in which resulted stiff drawer. Shim the rails with washers now the drawer fits and moves as it should. The cable pass thru hole needs to be bigger. I run 3 monitors docking hub for my work laptop, this hole just isn't enough. Lastly the leg in the corner seems to be an after thought.... They could have done better but over all it's a pretty decent desk.

The Sauder Carson Forge Washington Cherry Corner computer desk is is a functional and great looking desk that did not break the bank. I shopped around in person and on-line for a year before deciding. The color was perfect, it was pretty easy to assemble if you are not in a rush (directions were great, all the parts were included, and the holes were drilled perfectly throughout). I was nervous about the quality but it did not disappoint. It was a great addition to our home office.

Beautiful! Love it! Sure it takes time to put together, but what would you expect? Lay it out, review instructions then let 'er rip! :) It's just what I expected! Desk came is 2 very heavy boxes (it's all MDF fiber board), but was well protected and organized. Instructions were very easy to understand and assembly was easy enough, though it takes some hours to fully assemble. I put it together by myself by strategically locating the desktop portions nearest the walls I wanted the desk on. Very sturdy once it's fully assembled, and drawers & door work well. Dark Cherry is a beautiful color.

It's a computer desk used for that very purpose. It does the job, beyond that there were no expectations. The keyboard placement is a little sketchy, not sure where the best spot is for family use. In fairness, size and geometry are what they are and physical law can't be defeated.

Purchased this corner desk to replace the table I was using during covid lockdown. The desk was easy to assemble with the directions given and looks beautiful. I like the matching pieces to this set as I was able to find a dresser to complete the room.

Good instructions, however, some of the pieces were not labelled which made assembly confusing. But when it was complete, it was complete. Took about 3 1/2 hours total to assemble.

Just finished assembling the desk. I have to admit it did take me a while to put together, mostly by myself. Total time was probably 8-10 hours, had I done it continually start to finish. Ive put many pieces of furniture together and I have to say, this product has by far the best instructions I've ever dealt with. I really liked the way all the screws, bolts, cams, etc. were in separate compartments and labeled properly, not like some assemblies where they are in bags with diagrams for each piece. HUGE help! And the instructions matched the parts and vice versa PERFECTLY. Thank you so much for a well designed product, great instructional booklet and a great looking desk, for a more than reasonable price! If/when I need another piece of furniture, I will definitely shop Sauder!

The instructions are a joke. You just about have to take every thing apart 5x and do it in a different order than the instructions. But the desk is a pile of rubbish before it's assembled. It has plastic pieces that are impossible to reuse, and the pressed wood just falls apart. Frankly, it's a death trap. Collapsed on me. Wish I never bought it.

Love this desk!! The color was more rich and deep than the picture presents but still matched in our room. Love the drawers and the door on opposite side. Was tedious and tough to put together but worth it in the end.

It was supposed to be a cherry color, but is a very dark brown. The drawers don't line up correctly-when closing, top drawer drops onto front of next drawer and you have to lift it to close. Desk is very cheaply made, pieces were chipping off as we were assembling it. I think the marking for assembling are off as nothing seems to line up correctly. File drawer with slides is really off. May not be able to use it unless it is redone.

This desk is very attractive and, despite what some reviewers have said, rather easy to assemble. I was disappointed to discover, however, that both pieces that comprise the desk top have chips on their surface near the outside corners. The chips are almost mirror images of each other, which makes me suspect there was an undiscovered issue with the finishing process. Its not the biggest issue in the world, but when you pay almost $500 for a piece of furniture youre entitled to a surface that is free from defects.
I would buy another Sauder product.

Great product. However moving it after it is assembled can be hard to do without pulling something loose. Also I was shorted some special screws that could not be found at a hardware.
