Brew the perfect cup. Boil: Bring fresh, filtered water to a rolling boil. Steep: Pour 1 cup water over a tea bag in a cup. Steep 4 minutes, squeeze and remove bag. Q: As someone else commented, valerian root is not listed as an ingredient, yet reviewers talk about the valerian it contains... Is the ingredients list truly complete?

A: Hi, grrlrocks! Our Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra Tea does contain Valerian Root. However, the information regarding the Valerian Root is not listed under Ingredients on the packaging. It is listed under the Supplement Facts. The Supplement Facts also lists Chamomile and Tilia Estrella. Hope this helps!

Q: No where does it mention valerian root in the ingredients but the box info. claims to contain valerian. Not happy about it being excluded form the ingredients. Would not buy something when the description is vague.

I swear this tea knocks me out. It works best for me to drink it once all the lights are turned off and I’m sitting in bed. Once I finish my cup, I close my eyes and always immediately fall asleep

This extra sleepy time blend helps calm and relax me before bed. I do feel like it helps with sleep, but every other night it feels stronger some nights it helps my body a little bit faster to fall asleep other nights it just helps me feel very relaxed before bed. A great price for what you get.

This was my was one of my favorite teas when I wasn’t feeling my best and really needed some rest. I had trouble sleeping, but my body was so sleep deprived and this tea really helped me out. I would get this one again!

It didn't work for me at all. I've had other brands and it was effective. The first time I drank this tea, I ended up tossing and turning all night and assumed that I had drunk it too late. I tried again yesterday at least 3 hours before my bedtime and it was the same experience.

Absolutely worth the try if you haven’t! The tea bags really do put you to sleep. If you find it difficult to go to sleep then try using two tea bags at a time. The taste isn’t bad, but if you are sensitive to flavor then you could always add some honey.

Sleepy time is an all time favorite, I even give it to my 86 year old Mom . My digger grew up with this and if we don’t have it in the house when she comes home big disappointment! I always pick up a jar of local honey on our road trip!

My husband has chronic pain from osteoarthritis anxiety and works a high stress job. He can never get his brain to shut off . Since drinking this tea with honey every night he hasn’t been waking up every hour like he usually does . Once he’s asleep he’s stayed asleep so he can actually rest! Deffinately recommend

while it doesn’t help me sleep, it is divine for winding down from anxiety or other suchlike symptoms. especially love it when I’m sick, easy to go down and doesn’t upset the stomach. as for taste, it isn’t as awful as far as chamomile tends to go. I think the mint (?) gives it that extra oomph. lovely subdued flavour. a household favourite; I only wish it was cheaper.
