Q: Does this act as a hydrating moisturizer, as in I could apply this after cleansing? If not, are there any mineral based products that hydrate, contains spf 30 (or above), and doesn’t leave white marks (unless it fades) for my skin?

I think that this is typically for sun protection rather than moisturizing. or, you could use the Purito comfy water sun block SPF 50 for $15. I've heard really good reviews on it, it is fragrance-free and super lightweight, matte and doesn't leave white cast :)

Left one of the worst white cast I’ve ever seen in a sunscreen and it would rub off of my face for hours. I love Cerave’s moisturizer plus sunscreen combo but this sunscreen is not the best unfortunately. Also everyone’s skin is different but it burned slightly when I first applied it.

I like wearing this everyday to work. Gives me a little color and it’s lightweight so I don’t look over done like other makeup. I am outside a lot so I like the idea of the sunscreen and I don’t have to worry about getting those wrinkles. I also travel a lot so the size 1.7 fits in my purse or bag perfectly.

I only use CeraVe products on my face so I was so sad when I tried this sunscreen! I have acne prone skin and their products are like the only that I’m confident won’t break me out. With that being said, this sunscreen does leaves a VERY noticeable white cast on the skin. I should have known since it’s a mineral sunscreen so I guess that’s my fault lol. Otherwise it’d be a great product!

I have used CeraVe products for years, and am disappointed in the quality of this sunscreen. It does not absorb at all, but rather sits on top of the skin creating a white cast and transferring to clothing, car interior, and furniture.

I took this on vacation with me to the beach. I loved that it didn’t have a strong scent to it and the SPF did work well. However, it is very greasy and caused me to breakout. I wouldn’t buy again

I love this, my rosacea, and my skin is more sensitive to sunscreens, and this one doesn’t make my skin flush turned super red, and it protects me from the sun, which is ideal and it lasts a really long time

I generally like the transparency of CeraVe products but the sunscreen market has gotten exponentially better the last few years and this is just not a top tier option. While effective, it's thick and greasy with significant white cast.

The white cast this product leaves has to be a joke. I have used mineral sunscreens before and understand they’ll never be perfect… but this one is crazy! Not only did it look like a Halloween face paint, but the feel of the product on my skin wasn’t great either. It became difficult to rub in after about 45-60 seconds so even if I wanted to try to continue to rub to help with the white cast, it wasn’t possible. The product also did not dry down even after 20 minutes, if I touched my face with my shirt sleeve the sunscreen would transfer to my shirt. The photo shows a patch of my forehead wiped clear of the product to show the difference. Overall I am extremely disappointed in this product and will not use it again.
