Unfortunately this product destroyed my skin barrier. I had so many breakouts! As soon as I discontinued use, the breakouts subsided immediately. Switched to panoxyl 4% and had no issues. So I think my skin does not like licorice root or something. It’s safe to say that I am dissapointed, I had high hopes for this product!

I really like that this has a lower percentage of BP in it, but gosh it smells so bad. Im usually not picky with the scent of my skincare and it annoys me when people complain about a products scent when it just smells natural (i actually prefer for it to not smell good/like anything at all) but i was really taken aback by the smell of this. Im gonna try it again cause i want to like it but idk.

As an adult who suffers from acne.. It was so devastating to me as it does not happen to me on my younger years. I tried alot of products in the market but I always go back to Cetaphil Acne Cleanser specifically the one with Bezoyl Peroxide. It calms down my active acne and help prevent development of new ones. Paired with Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 35. It helps my skin tremendously. I truly believe less is more. We dont need to have 10 step routine. We just need a quality product that we can stick to and that for me is Cetaphil. My go to products for my adult acne

This product is a regular feature in my morning face routine. I suffer from acne and have sensitive skin. This cleanser has just the right amount of benzoyl peroxide to keep the pimples away without drying me out. A little goes a long way to dissolve any dirt or oil.

This product cleared up my acne immediately. I used it for three days every morning and night, and I noticed immediate results. I haven’t stopped using the product since and I plan to restock. The packaging is sleek and easy to travel with. There is no scent or fragrance, which is good for my sensitive skin. The texture of my skin after using this for the last month has been smooth and glow

The only benzoyl peroxide cleaning that feels gentle with the skin. I’ve used others and this one is the most gentle but effective by far. My husband loves it too.

I really like this product. I’ve been struggling with bad acne from ages 17-20. I’ve never really had acne up until that point. I have tried everything you could possibly think of to treat it. Before using this product i was using salicylic acid and i wasnt having great results. i switched to benzoyl peroxide as a last attempt before going to the dermatologist to get accutane or something along those lines. I’ve been using this for weeks now and my skin has truly never looked better. I have no active acne right now, just some acne scars. I’m so impressed with this product and benzoyl peroxide. I cannot recommend it enough; if you struggle with red, painful acne with white heads, I recommend benzoyl peroxide. The only side effect I’ve had is dry skin -which is inevitable with benzoyl peroxide. I’ve made it a point to use hydrating sheet masks by the brand Dr.Jart twice a week as well and a thicker, non comedogenic moisturizer (Hero Cosmetics moisturizer) to compensate for the dryness and I’ve had no problems since. I personally did not experience purging with this product, but it’s safe to assume most people will experience it, my skin is just used to these types of products. I am slowly working my way up to 5% benzoyl product, but this is a great starting point for those of you looking to use benzoyl peroxide!
Works very well!

I’ve only been using it for a couple days and I am impressed! The effects are evident after one use . My face went through the worst break out I’ve ever experienced nothing was working . One wash with this product and my face was 1000x better ! It’s a little drying for my skin so I’ve had to add a moisturizer, but it’s doing the job.

I love this face cleanser. It’s one of the lower percentage benzoyl peroxide cleaners on the market. It’s not drying for me like some of the others on the market are. It compares to Proactiv but has a creamy formula which my skin likes better than exfoliates. My only issue is that I can only order it online as my Target location does not carry it in store. I don’t know why because they have every other product available in store including the salicylic acid cleanser by Cetaphil.

I am very angry that the labeling on this product does not state that it contains damaging granules. These granules have damaged my skin barrier and caused small pimples which I never had before. All I had before was oily skin.
Disappointing Experience

Faraz - 1 year ago

I was a loyal user of the normal Cetaphil cleanser for acne until I decided to switch to their new acne complexion product. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete letdown. Instead of improving my skin, it caused a breakout of pimples and left behind stubborn black marks. I trusted the brand, but this product seemed like a step backward. My skin, which was once clear and healthy, is now covered in pimples, and the dark marks are a constant reminder of this regrettable switch. I can't stress enough how disappointing this experience has been. I strongly advise against using this product, as it did more harm than good for my skin. Stick to the original Cetaphil cleanser for acne if you want to avoid unnecessary breakouts and blemishes.
