A: The container says reapply after 80 minutes of swimming...so yeah it IS water resistant.

I have sensitive-ance prone skin and I also have rosacea. I was using the Elta MD Tinted sunscreen (which I loved) but could not commit to the big price tag every few months. I have used this Cetaphil sunscreen for about 2-3 weeks now and have been quite pleased with the product. It has not broken me out whatsoever. It is EXTREMELY runny, which I enjoy. I did not give a 5/5 rating because if you do not wait until other products applied before are not absorbed completley, I have noticed the SPF will peel up. Also, this sunscreen WILL show white cast if not blended enough. I have to make sure it is throughly rubbed in and I am fair toned. Overall, if you have fair toned, sensitive, and overactive skin I would give this product a go.

I really needed a new daily mineral sunscreen to replace a discontinued product. I can deal with a slight white cast but I need it to go under makeup and not have a scent. This passed the test. The texture is smoother than other mineral sunscreens I have used and not greasy. There is no scent. It starts white but it did absorb clear. I am pleased and will rebuy this.

I really tried my best to figure out a way to let this not create a white cast or within a reasonable amount of time that the white cast would disappear; nothing worked. I have pale skin so this is applicable to pale skin as well. I'm so not sure how the others have gotten this to work for them. 1) I've tried to let it sit on my skin for a long time then apply BB cream and it does "patch" up over some dry areas. 2) I've tried to then put on moisturizer, let it sit for at least 10 minutes and then apply the sunscreen, which would still create a white cast. By maybe one or two hours afterwards, the white cast does somewhat "disappear" but it becomes very predictable of when it does. I gave it 3 stars because I really appreciate how it's fragrance free, the other chemical things free, etc.

Does not clog pores or sting my eyes. I have fair, sensitive, dry skin. Goes on smoothly and rubs in well. Has a milky texture. Not creamy. I have tried many face sunscreens and this is my favorite. Wish it was cheaper but it does last me a long time and I wear daily.

I don't understand why everyone is saying there's a white cast and it piles. As long as you don't put too much on it blends in quite smoothly. It also only piles when you don't let other products set before applying the next one. I personally top it off with some translucent powder and it's perfect for me. Hides whatever minimal white cast it doesn't leave behind.

This used to be my holy grail. I was so confused when I recently purchased a new bottle because the label was completely different. I’m not sure if the formula changed (like some of their other products,) but it doesn’t blend like it used to. The moment I apply it on my skin, it dries almost immediately. It used to be true to its name, sheer. I don’t understand why there’s a white cast now. It’s just not worth what it’s priced for.

The best sunscreen I’ve found for my face! I have very dry skin that tends to be sensitive at times and this never dries me out, causes irritation, or causes breakouts. While this does leave a tiny bit of a white cast I feel like it absorbs in really well and I don’t notice that white cast for long after applying (I do have a lighter skin tone so I realize this may not be the case for everyone). Putting it on after moisturizer seems to help too! It’s also perfect under makeup, it creates a very smooth base and I’ve never had an issue with pilling.
Mix it with lotion to apply more easily!!!!

So, this does leave a white cast. I am a very pale Caucasian woman, and it definitely makes my face even more pale. My skin loves the protection and feels softer and more supple for it. The problem is that it is difficult to apply thinly enough not to look like I've applied clown makeup. My trick is to mix it with lotion (the last step in my routine) to apply. Sheer enough not to look caked on and smooth application. I have not found a single mineral based sunscreen that doesn't do the same thing, so, for this price, I'll keep buying it.

Love love love, others say it leaves a white cast, but you’re probably putting way too much. I’m olive skinned btw. It’s easy to spread and I have even taken this to the beach, no sunburn at all. I like that it’s not oily on my face even though I have oily skin. Been using it for the past 7 months and I don’t regret a thing. Going on my 3rd bottle and counting.

I never leave reviews but this sunscreen deserves all the love. I'm in my 50s but still have oily acne prone skin. Once this dries down you literally don't even feel it on your face. It just magically sinks in. Skin-like finish, not dry matte. Actually quite hydrating without the sticky and/or greasy residue. Do not sleep on this one. It's truly a hidden gem. 💞💞💞💞

I use this everyday, it does a good job at such protection, haven’t had any issues with it. Minimal to no scent, convenient packaging dispersal system; clean ingredients and overall nice under makeup. Good for face and neck!
