I bought this expecting to love it based on my experience with other Chi products. I ignored the other negative reviews on here. It DOES have a strong chemical smell and did not make any difference in the top I tried this out on. I will try again in hopes that maybe it just needs to cycle a few times to get the stink out, but will return if not.

I took it out of the box and it smelled really bad. Where the steam is supposed to come out of is dirty.
Not a good steamer for constant use

I bought this steamer back in July 2023 for constant use, I don't steam all of my clothes so I wanted something simple yet effective. This steamer was good for cottons but when it came to thick clothes (ex. Jeans) it was hard to work with. I used it once per week for at least 30 minutes and 90 max. After 11 months it started to fail, hot water would drip on me and the steam would keep coming out of it even if I wasn't pressing any buttons. I was expecting it to last at least another year for the price I paid.
If youre in the market - buy it.

Upgraded to this from black and decker and it is night and day. Paying more for a product that actually works and doesn’t spill hot water all over you is so worth it! Highly recommend.

Love the overall look of it. Love the water reservoir is a nice touch and love how this is able to stand in my closet with no issues. What I don't like about it is it does take a little bit to get use to steaming clothes. You also need someone to hold thr clothes up on a hanger or have a hook to hold it while you steam your clothes. Wish it came with a stand but overall it's not a bad product especially if your clothes need a refresher.

An absolute horrible steamer. First time I used it, it started spitting out brown crud on to my uniform shirt. I flushed it with vinegar 3 times and after every time I ran vinegar threw it I then flushed it with filtered water twice. It still continued to spit out Brown crud AFTER THE 6TH FLUSH!! I dont know what the internal componants consist of.. but for !! $60 !! this should NOT be an issue!! Chi could of EASILY used stainless steal for the internals that the water flows through at the consumer cost of $60 !! DO NOT BBUUYY !! YOU CLOTHES WILL GET STAINED !! Will never purchase another Chi product ever again!!

I just bought this steamer a week or 2 ago hoping to love it so much! I got it home and it steamed sooo much powerful steam so quick but the 3rd day I used it and it started squirting water and burning me. I’m a welder so like I’m tough but like, only to get paid. I tried again and again, same thing. I still have to use it just holding a certain way and only if it has time to dry before wearing and not silk because I don’t have time to get another but geez. Why would you sell a product for so expensive if it’s pretty much unusable.
Bought back in April for daily use, still great

It's a very good steamer. I use it everyday to steam my work shirts. The brush help to keep the steam from wetting the garment and at brushing away the wrinkles. For my more delicate items I steam them in the reverse side, and they look great. I steam my husband's suit too, and it did a good job.

I used this steamer on my daughter’s prom dress. The steam came out pretty fast and didn’t leave drip marks on the dress. Great product

This steamer is extremely poorly designed and doesn't work at all. The front plate immediately accumulates condensate that drips and stains your clothes. And on top of that, it doesn't even remove the wrinkles, just makes the entire garment damp
Love my steamer:)

Powerful steamer with an even stronger max setting. Turns on quickly + a good sized water container so refills aren’t too often. Very happy and have recommended to others! I work with Jiffy industrial steamers and previously owned the conair hand held and neither come close, this is worth investing in.
Ditch the iron and ironing board. This is all you need!

Convenience. Was shopping for a new iron and ironing board and came across this. It’s portable, comfortable and easy to use. Heats up quick and removes wrinkles efficiently and effortlessly. Water reservoir is actually very easy to remove and replace, unlike others have mentioned.

Buy it! I found it easy to use. I didn’t feel like it was bulky. I was able to steam stubborn, wrinkly material very easily. I will probably never iron again.

This bad boy is no punk! This is a get it done steamer. Although a bit on the heavy side in the weight dept it’s a solid unit. I bought this for a wedding and it went through several delicate fabrics and heavy ones, not sure exactly which fabrics.
I'd buy it again!

Works really well! I see what other reviewers said about the water container…it’s a little tricky to remover and put back. But as long as you’re careful and don’t force it I think it’ll be fine.

Nothing about this is steamer is a “dislike”. I owned an iron and the $60 rowenta steamer. This beats em both easily. I love how there’s only 1 accessory (brush). I love how easy it is to refill. Even without the tank on the steamer stands by itself and won’t tip. Wrinkles from air dryer clothes are gone in a simple pass or two. I’ll keep this short because I bet you’re reading other reviews — buy this one and another one. Keep the receipt and open this one first. And if you’re not impressed return it. You’ll know after the first use.
