The Chicco Fit2 Infant & Toddler Car Seat is a first-of-its-kind rear-facing car seat designed with two unique positions to accommodate infants and toddlers, making it easy to stay rear-facing for the first two years. A built in stage-position lever lifts easily to convert the car seat base (included) from Stage 1 to Stage 2 with one motion, creating extended leg room and more upright, spacious seating for growing toddlers.
In Stage 1, the Fit2 functions like a traditional rear-facing infant car seat, offering more reclined seating with removable head and body support to accommodate newborns and smaller infants from birth to 12 months. In Stage 2, the Fit2 easily transitions into a rear-facing toddler car seat, offering a more mature seating position for toddlers from 9 to 24 months – without taking up extra space in the vehicle! A 7-position headrest and padded no-rethread harness provide adjustability to accommodate growth throughout both stages.

A: The Fit2 infant car seat is only compatible with the Fit2 base. We do not recommend using Chicco car seats with other brand strollers.We do not manufacture any adapters nor do we recommend any aftermarket products. Chicco offers a number of strollers that are compatible with the Fit2 car seat.

A: The Fit2 Infant & Toddler Car Seat is a rear-facing car seat only. The Fit2 Base is able to accommodate in Stage 1, birth to 12 months. In Stage 2, it easily transitions into a rear-facing toddler car seat, from 9 to 24 months.

A: Yes, the Chicco Fit2 Infant and Toddler Car Seat can be used without the included base. The car seat can be secured in a vehicle with the vehicle seat belt. The Chicco Fit2 includes European-style belt routing for the purpose of securing the seat in a vehicle using only the vehicle belt.

A: The Chicco Fit2 Infant and Toddler Car Seat will fit nearly all Chicco strollers. Fit2 works with all Chicco Bravo and Mini Bravo strollers, the Chicco Corso stroller, the Chicco Viaro stroller, the double strollers (Cortina Together and Bravo For 2) and our jogging strollers (Activ3 and TRE).

Thanks for sharing. Remember to remove the newborn insert once you baby reaches 11 pounds. This will allow more room and a better fit.

We love this car seat for our baby! We were gifted another car seat when our son was born, but he never seemed settled into it correctly and was clearly uncomfortable. With this seat he loves to ride and is comfortable for long periods! It was very easy to install the vase in the car as well and it can be switched from vehicle to vehicle easily. The reviews are correct that this seat is heavy compared to others, but I don’t find it to be too much difference. It also, due to the thick lining is very warm, so if you’re layering baby’s clothes for cold weather keep that in mind.

Too HEAVY. also, my daughter was always too hot and didn’t like sitting in it, car rides were unpleasant and her whole back and hair was always completely soaked in sweat. I don’t have anything else to compare to but there has to be a better product out there.

Yalllll this car seat looks nice, yes but it is sooooooooooo heavy, if you don’t believe me check the weight and compare to others. Also my daughter hates it, my car rides are full of crying. Currently looking for a new car seat which is crazy because this one cost so much that now I have to ditch it. It’s been three months and I think that’s enough time to figure out if I really liked it or not! I really don’t know how it has so many good reviews unless it was paid for. The quality of the car seat it top notch but the specs is a no go!!!

We know that, at 11 lbs, the Fit2 is our heaviest infant car seat carrier but to put that in context, it's only 2 lbs heaver than our lightest carrier. And the Fit2 is heavier because it is designed to be used for 2 years rear facing, so the shell is longer than any other carrier. We hope your daughter adjusts and that you discover why there are so many great consumer reviews of the Chicco Fit2.

We took our 4 pound preemie home in this car seat. We’ve felt safe with him in it the entire time. NICU staff commented on how well it fit him for his size. He’s now a week away from turning one, and about to move to stage 2. Its easy to install, clean and transition. SO SO SO happy with this car seat. We recommend to all!!

As one does, we did a ton of research on baby carriers. There were a couple others that we considered but ultimately we ended up going with the Chicco Fit2 and so far I’m glad we did! The base is amazing and I can’t say enough good things about it. The ease of use is unmatched in my experience. With our first child we had a different carrier with a nightmare of a base. I was never able to successfully install or uninstall it myself, which led me to have to rely on my husband or another family member if ever we needed to change cars. With this, I have been able to uninstall and reinstall it within a matter of minutes. I also love the seat itself. It is very high quality and so far our infant seems very comfortable in it. We also have the uppababy stroller which when paired with the Chicco converter allows us to have a super functional travel system. Overall, very happy!
