Q: I put my contacts in this solution over night, in fact I didn’t use them until the next day and now they are blurry. Did leaving them more than 8 hrs damage the contacts?
A: Thanks for contacting! We recommend reaching out to https://www.alcon.com/contact-us for assistance.
submitted byClearExpert - 10 months agoBrand expertA: Oh no! I'm so sorry for your bad experience, you did nothing wrong, normally your lenses can sit in Clear Care for up to 7 days. Please stop the use of the CLEAR CARE® bottle and case you have and call us at (800) 757-9780 or if you prefer, please report your issue at https://www.alcon.com/contact-us.

Q: Is this the cleaner that you have to let the contacts sit in for 8 hours before you can use them again? I see the warning not to use directly in the eyes. But how long do they need to be in the cleaner before I can use them again.
A: Yes, soak your contact lenses in the solution in the case that comes in the box for a minimum of 6 hours. This allows the hydrogen peroxide to neutralize into saline solution. I hope this helps! Thanks for your interest in Clear Care!

Q: If I don’t finish the solution within the 1 month period, should i buy a new pack or am i able to continue to use until its empty? does the neutralizing case ever expire?
A: Hello, we recommend using up the solution within 3 months of opening. The neutralizing case lasts for 60 uses, that’s why there is only one case in the twin pack. Please make sure to discard old cases and use the case that comes in the box each time.

Q: If I have multiple pairs of monthly colored contacts and want to disinfect each one maybe once a week or so, can i use one set of solution and the case for all my contacts and rotate them after every cleaning period?
A: Yes, you can use the same set of solution and case for more than one set of lenses, but you can only disinfect up to two lenses at a time. You can leave the lenses in the neutralized solution for up to 7 days. But, you might want to invest in another bottle and case so you have a case available to disinfect your lenses on a nightly basis. Feel free to open another question if you still have questions! Thanks for your interest in Clear Care!

Q: I wear RGP lenses... will hydra glide benefit me or should I use triple action solution
A: Both formulas of Clear Care work with RGP lenses. Clear Care Plus Hydraglyde has the same cleaning power of Clear Care with the added bonus of HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix, which reconditions soft lenses and surrounds them with long-lasting moisture. Always use the special contact lens case that comes inside the box. The lens case contains a unique neutralizing disc that neutralizes the hydrogen peroxide and turns it into a gentle saline solution. Thanks for your interest in Clear Care!

Q: Hi! Can I still use my regular contact solution alongside this product?
A: Follow all of the steps on the side of the box each time you use Clear Care Plus. If there are times when you don't have a full 6 hours, you can use your regular Multi-purpose solution to rinse, clean, and disinfect your contact lenses. If I misunderstood your question, please start a new question! You can also get answers to your questions by emailing us at alcon.medinfo@alcon.com. Thanks for your interest in Clear Care Plus!

Q: Can I use HydraGlyde with Accuvue Oasys lenses? Why use this rather than the original?
A: Yes, Clear Care Plus HydraGlyde is great for both hard and soft contact lenses, including Accuvue Oasys. Clear Care Plus has the same cleaning power of Clear Care with the added bonus of HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix, which reconditions soft lenses and surrounds them with long-lasting moisture. Always use the special contact lens case that comes inside the box. The lens case contains a unique neutralizing disc that neutralizes the hydrogen peroxide and turns it into a gentle saline solution. Thanks for your interest in Clear Care!

Q: Do you have to change the solution after each cleaning (each day), like traditional contact solution? Seems like a lot of product being used everyday to refill the chamber vs. saline soution?
A: Yes, use new solution each day. You will notice lots of bubbles when you first insert your contact lenses into the case full of Clear Care. You can actually see the solution cleaning and disinfecting your contacts! Then after 6 hours, a special neutralizing disc in the lens case, neutralizes the solution into saline solution. Saline solution is safe to store clean contacts, but it doesn't clean or disinfect. One 12oz bottle should last 1 month. Always use the case that comes with the bottle of solution, the case is designed to safely last you through two bottles of Clear Care Solution, that is why only 1 case comes in the twin pack. Thank you for your interest in Clear Care!
