However, the desktop part came with a crack. We are still trying to glue and make it work since they had no replacement parts. Company is sending a refund and has been easy to work with. Overall, quality is nice.

I really like this desk, even more than I thought I would! Previous raters are correct, it does take quite a while to put together and you need to pay attention to which booklet of instructions you're using - and what step you're on. Be patient and make sure all of your cams are properly tightened! Now that I've been using it for a few weeks, I'm even more happy with the desk, it's appearance and quality.

When finish the desk is very nice. There's a couple spots where you can tell the finish is a little fragile, but it looks very nice. Assembly takes a while but a cordless screwdriver is your friend here. Probably took me about five hours to put together. It was missing a couple screws but I had some laying around. I wish the price tag was a little lower being that it's all pressed wood, but I'm happy with my purchase

This desk perfectly fit my needs and into my space. It has good storage and looks really nice. However, there were a few major problems with assembly. The first was that a number of the pieces were mislabeled or not labeled at all. The second was that the holes on one of the large drawers were completely off from where they needed to be and needed to be re-drilled.

I received my desk on Thursday but since I work from home, I didn't want to start on it until Saturday so I would have the whole weekend to do it. I am not a newbie when it comes to putting furniture together. The desk arrived with only directions for the return on the LEFT. I want the return on the RIGHT. I called customer service, and they emailed me the directions for return on RIGHT. In the meantime, I decided to put the drawers together and no problem. So far so good. Saturday morning-took old desk apart and moved it out so I could build the desk in its location as recommended. I started gathering all the pieces and realized the some of the pieces are labeled differently for the right return vs. left return. For example, I received piece labelled RR but in the instructions the piece is labelled B so I had to go back and forth between the 2 sets of directions and get everything labelled correctly. Also 2 of the pieces that should have cams inserted, the holes are too small and all the holes for the legs are too big and appear to be missing a metal nut to screw the legs into. I also don't like the fact that pieces Back (M) and Return Back(N) have visible holes that are to be covered with stickers. Since my desk is not going into a corner, those stickers will be glaringly visible. I was so excited about this desk, now I just want to return it, but it is in pieces all over my living room and I have to wait until Monday to call customer service. I now have no desk to work from on Monday. I had such high hopes for this desk.

Very functional, super easy to assemble, directions very clear and easy to follow, gold standard customer service quickly replaced two components damaged in shipping.

Assembly: easy assembly, just takes time so be patient. one piece at a time. overall it took me an evening and the next morning to fully assemble. it would have been easier with a helper but i did manage to do it on my own. Quality: good quality seems like a nice mid-range desk option. no dings or scrapes on the wood covering. nice drawer slides. tons of storage!! Cons: the little circle stickers included to cover the hardware bother me. they aren't sticky enough and my eyes are drawn to the little circles even though they do blend in pretty well. also this desk is HEAVY. assemble it were it will live because moving it will be a task for sure.

I put the desk together only to fine one drawer can't be completed. One desk drawer can't be put together because I have identical sides. Moreover, after calling customer service no answer was given to my request for one new side to complete the desk setup. Order the product at your risk.

We bought this to complete our home office. Great little desk for a good price. Set aside plenty of time to put it together, and check each step twice (10 hours). Not for the faint of heart! That aside my husband and I had a great time putting it together. The instructions were easy to interpret and we loved the little comic relief throughout! Definitely a 2 person job.

Great desk that took some time to put together. The instructions are clear but for one person it took me most of a one day. I like the look and size of it. It arrived quickly but separated cartons that were left in the rain. No damage but for one board. Minor and not worth me waiting for a new part to arrive. Overall I’m pleased but do feel this desk is overpriced and should be no more than $600. It is particle board and cams that will not last.

This is the same desk I put together 5 years ago! It only took a day to inventory put together and slide into place in my office. Sauder is simply marvelous. I was most impressed with their customer service! I've never communicated with a better customer service team! I had one quick question which was answered in a second. They truly look out for the customer and send their QUALITY product quickly, securely packaged, and by far the most excellent DIY (PUT IT TOGETHER YOURSELF) product out there on the market. Using the desk in my study. It is attractive and well built once it's together. The trick is to keep track of all the pieces when putting the desk together.

This desk was a bit of a challenge to put together - so many pieces, and two sets of directions (because the return can be on either side). Once I figured that out and got it put together, I couldn't be more pleased! The desk is sturdy and has a surprising amount of storage for its size. I needed a desk on the smaller side for my home office, but was still hoping for enough storage for office supplies and files, which this desk has. I did have my husband add a couple of extra grommet holes in the underside areas to run cords where I needed them to go more easily. I will also say that you will want a desk chair without arms. The area where you sit is compact, and chair arms definitely get in the way. But overall this desk is so pretty and for the price you really can't beat it!

Most importantly, take time to read and carefully follow the directions. Best to check and double check your work in each step to insure all parts are in the correct location. Be prepared to deal with pieces that are heavy and sometimes cumbersome. A helper would be advisable and mandatory in some steps. The desk comes in 2 cartons. The smaller carton contains desk drawers and the larger carton contains the desk frame, tops and hardware. The pieces are packed in a logical order following the assemble steps. Parts for the first steps are at the top and work down to the last step, the desk top. From there you can assemble each drawer and install each finished drawer into the desk. When complete, it is a very nice finished product. For a home office desk, it's perfect. Two caveats that were encountered caused some consternation. When assembling the desk top, 2 of the dowels that were inserted per the instructions did not line up with a mating hole. The dowels were in the desk frame and could not have been misplaced as there was only one hole available in the location shown in the instructions. The mating hole in the desktop was about 1 inch away. The dowels were removed and the top went into place. The other is the keyboard shelf slide out. When assembled, the shelf does not slide in and out easily. I'm hoping it will mover more freely after some use. Beyond those 2 items, it is a good looking desk for a home office.

I loved the look of this desk and my husband and I had a lot of fun putting it together. When we ran into some questions in the process of assembling it we called the helpline. The customer service was amazing, helpful, patient, and knowledgeable; didn't have to wait on hold for someone to help--they answered in a minute or two. I was very pleased with my desk and with the Sauder company.

There are some pre-cut cabling holes but I used my hole saw to make additional ones

I use the product daily in my office. A few of the pieces were scuffed upon delivery.

The product took a hired professional almost 4 hours to assemble. Once completed is very nice and functional.

You get what you pay for. Nightmare to put together and as stated, main piece of the desk was completely scratched. Didn't see it until it was way too late to send this back. Took 6 hours with 2 people to put together.
