I recently purchased this desk for my office after tossing out a big old oak roll top desk. This is the perfect size for working with a laptop with plenty of space for paperwork as well. Two drawers, are adequate in size and easy to assemble. One is set up for optional letter or legal size hanging folders. I especially like the wood color of the desktop. Combined with the white base, it gives a nice fresh, open look. With interruptions, it took me a few hours to assemble the desk. As a 70s female, I found it was easily a one-person job. Follow the directions exactly and the assembly will go smoothly. I really enjoy the humor I find in the instructions." some assembly and snacks required", it makes the job more fun and I thank the creators for that. The only thing I could offer as a suggestion for Sauder would be to include snacks in the parts bag!😂

I wanted something that would go with modern farmhouse and more desktop space. This is the plus side. On the negative side. Very difficult to assemble, especially getting everything to line up. I'm also very good at IKEA and this was more challenging. Also not solid wood, mostly MDF (except for 6 legs)

I started a wfh job and I turned an empty bedroom into my office. I needed space for two monitors and a laptop plus room to work. I loved the style of this desk and what it had to offer. It's long and spacious. I will say that the main work space is not as deep as I would have liked but I can make it work. It took about 3 hours for my husband and I to put together, but the instructions were clear and concise so the process went smoothly. I would recommend this desk.

I struggle to see how this piece of furniture is supposed to be a desk. It's not deep enough to have a keyboard in front of a computer monitor so, unless you exlcusively use a small laptop, you're forced to have your monitor off to one side which is horrible for your neck. The corner is just deep enough for a monitor and keyboard but you can't sit comfortably in that position because a support structure takes up most of the space under the corner where your legs should be. I've gotten countless bruises on my knees from banging into that thing. Meanwhile the edging started peeling off within a couple months of use. I contacted customer service who told me to use a hair dryer to reactivate the adhesive but that just made it worse. And a lot of the hardware was warped and broken so I had to order replacement parts just to finish assembly.

The desk tops looks really great! Probably my favorite part. The slides are nice as well. Build was pretty straight forward and easy enough. I also really like the frame and build of the drawers. They seem solid.

Desk looks nice. My husband and I spent 5 hours putting everything together. Drawers are a bit flimsy, but the rest of the desk is quite sturdy.

This table is very strong but only few parts not able fix and top layer is very difficult to align. If you fix these issues it's a good product

I have been assembling Sauder office furniture off and on since the 1980s or early 90s. The technology has really improved since then, the fasteners and the drilling are so precise. It makes assembly much quicker and more sure. It has been a while since I assembled a desk. It took me several hours, but I stayed patient and followed the instructions. The instructions were clear and at no point was any step vague. Thank you Sauder for continuing to make and improve upon your products and instruction manuals. By the way, the funny quips throughout the instruction manual were excellent. Too bad you can't include a bag of pretzels with the unit, but I imagine the FDA would have to get involved so that's a no go. I will definitely be looking specifically for Sauder products in the future due to my excellent experience with this one. PS. I have a bad back and I am not as limber as I used to be. However, I was easily able to manage this project by myself.

The desk has plenty of ample desk top for computer work and writing space. The only change I would request is to take a couple more drawers instead of a filing drawer

I use a dual monitor setup, and I was able to attatch the mount ti the side of the desk. There is just enough overhang if you have a vise style mount. I have my drawing desk next to my new desk, so the monitors fit between the two desks. In theory I made a U shaped desk. I was looking for this info specifically when looking to purchase this desk, so I hope it helps someone else who may be trying to do the same thing. Get this desk if you are looking for a sturdy desk with a good amount of surface area.
