I wanted a pencil eyeliner for my waterline that would last a long time without melting. This was suggested. It does last a long time but it does still melt a little.
Great liner

This liner goes on smooth and it does last. I would recommend it. The only thing is that it is pricey. They have great colors to choose from.
The black honey liner is terrible

It dries, crumbles, does not go on smoothly. I love the color, but not the formula. Seriously, there are drug store brands that are better. Very disappointing.
Waste of money. Used to be a good product.

I've been using Clinique since I was 16 years old and I am now 52. The eyeliner has declined in quality. This particular one clumps - if it even goes on your skin because it also dries out making it nearly impossible to use. I don't want to have the hassle of returning this and going to the post office. I guess I will try a drug store brand in the future.
My new favorite!

Goes on smooth, and such a beautiful color! So much better than brown for my green/hazel eyes. Love it so much I plan to order the Black Honey mascara to go with it.
Quite Pleased!

This is my first Clinique eyeliner and I'm very impressed with the formula and color! It applies so smoothly and has good lasting power throughout the day. I always use an eye primer but some liners fade more than this one. I purchased the Black Honey shade and it looks really pretty against my dark brown eyes adding some definition without the stark contrast of black liner. I'm interested in picking up more liners in this formula, but this is definitely the best color!

Very solid choice for a more natural look. Great for tightlines. No fallout.

This eyeliner is easy apply. It doesn't skip spaces like some other liners do. I have oily lids and have to apply primer with other brands but don't with this one. It lasts all day! The color is great too. I'm tired of browns and blacks but not adventurous enough for blue, green, etc. this is a great, neutral but non traditional color.

Clinique is the only eyeliner I use and have used for many years. I was astonished that I could branch out to different shades of eyeliner and it still looks fantastic great. i've always stuck to the dark brown, and black. But lately trying out the pewter and a gray that looks fantastic. This goes in well, doesn't clump, stays in place and is super smooth. Great job clinique!

I love the Clinique Black Honey color. And I was so excited to see it came in an eye pencil! This is advertised as a gel crayon liner, which made me think this would glide on so easily. NOPE. It is so dry, it skips over my skin as I apply, it's not blendable at all. I'm so bummed about this, I had such high hopes.

I have the shade 02 black honey & it's very pretty. Once on it stays on very well. It glides on smooth too. Overall a great product. I did receive this in return for an honest review.

I don't understand how this eyeliner has 5 star reviews. I had high hopes for this gel eyeliner, but it didn't meet my expectations. The formula dries out quickly in the container, making it almost impossible to apply smoothly. When I try to warm it up or rub it to get it going, it becomes clumpy and messy, leaving uneven lines that are hard to fix. Instead of a sleek, precise application, it ends up looking patchy and unpolished. For a product marketed as a gel eyeliner, it's disappointing how dry and hard to work with it is. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're okay with spending extra time and effort to make it work—and even then, the results aren't great.
Love it

Glides on without effort. Lasts all day. My sister received a sample and passed it on to me. I liked it so much, I had to purchase.

I was so disappointed when Clinique discontinued the Black Honey eyeliner years ago. It was my go to color for my eye makeup. I frequently looked for it's return and was so excited when I saw it came back but in a different form-gel tech. It was very expensive I thought and some of the reviews were not great but I spent the money anyway and couldn't wait to receive it. I've used it many times now and sorry to report that I agree with the bad reviews. It does not go on smoothly and you have to press too hard on your eyelids for it to show up. And it is very dry and skips. I am going to try to get my money back if it's not too late.

I really, REALLY wanted this to work , but oh my gosh did it give me trouble. I tried warming it up on my hand, drying my waterline with a tissue, and closing my eye to make friction when applying, and it still left close to nothing on my eyes.
