Lessons learned when the hurricane hit North Carolina and shut down everything. CB radio was one way to stay in touch unless you’re a HAM radio operator. A great safety investment for the money.

The specification didn't list any ranges. After I purchased two radios to communicate with my family, we found out that the range is only about 1/2 mile at best. Called customer service and the expected range is only 3/4-1 mile. However, I could purchase an additional antenna for $20 to get a little better range. Very disappointed in the range and the lack of advertising the range. I'm not sure who is writing reviews about great range.

So far so good haven't use it that much yet using a different antenna ( cobra course) was able to calibrate the antenna to near perfect. Unit is ok but I have to buy those nimh rechargeable batteries my self

The radio is not what we had hoped for we bought 3 amongst us to go jeeping and we literally have to be in site if each other for the. To work. Very disappointed unfortunately. I have heard many good things about this company but the distance the manual radio reaches is not but a few car links.
