There are however built in scan and select features explained in the user manual that should have been in the box at the time of purchase. The instructions state: FM Mode: Press "Mode" button to turn to FM mode • Long press the "scan" button for 3 seconds to search broadcasts or turn "Select" button to select broadcasts • Press "Play" button to mute, press again to unmute. AM Mode: • Press "Mode" button to turn to AM mode • Long press the "Scan" button for 3 seconds to search broadcasts or turn "select" button to select broadcasts • Press "Play" button to mute, press again to unmute • Quick press "Scan" button 3 times to switch the regional stepped- frequency.
