With up to 38-mile range, waterproof (IP54) rating, NOAA weather alerts, built-in LED flashlight, and more, the family-friendly RX680 walkie talkies are ideal for outdoor adventures. Radio-to-radio transmission keeps you connected wherever you go, even when out of cell service range. The built-in NOAA radio receivers let you tune into 10 weather channels, and the available 60 channels provide extended signal range. I have used these radio`s while I was out for a walk.For what I am going to use them for they are going to be the BEST! I had my neighbor on one of the RX680 radio and I was on the other.From 100 yards to 3/4 of a mile,very thick tree growth we could hear each other with no problem at all. I know 3/4 of a mile is not that far for this radio but the crispness and clairity of of our voices never waverd,,,very strong.Thank you Cedar Electronics for a great product.

The radios are good quality but the range is false advertising. One mile is the realistic range.
Good radio at this price point. Should come with the spring-loaded clip.

I like this radio. I have no complaints about the user interface or functionality of the radio. I think it's a mistake not to include the spring-loaded clip on this radio. The stock belt clip is absolutely useless.

Bought them to use with my mowing partner in our roadside mower tractors. Not impressed with the distance they will communicate at all. We get 1/2 mile apart and they are useless.

The biggest reason I purchased the rx680 was for reachable distance. However I cannot even reach 11 miles away. I cannot find an accurate distance that the product actually works
