I have a set of 8 for my large table in my party room but I love them so much I am using them in the dining room and they brighten up the entire room and hold up well to our hot dinner plates.

These placemats are gorgeous but a bit on the thin side. If you're only after looks, they fill the bill. I don't think they can be machine washed at all.

These placemats look lovely with their bright colors, however, within a week of using them, they began to unravel. We’ve never had them for about six months, and every single one of the eight that we have are unraveling. I would not recommend.
